I've noticed that my balance is better. I used to fall down a lot, slipping on the snow. Even ski poles couldn't always keep me upright!

But this winter I haven't fallen once, and only needed a ski pole once when the fresh snow was deep enough that I wasn't sure of my footing.

Similar here - but more importantly, I'm a lot less worried that I'll badly hurt myself if I DO fall. Bad time a couple summers ago - rolled/sprained my ankle and had one heck of a time getting up at all! Not much hope my husband would be able to lift me, either.

haha Bonnie that is great news. I bet the knees on the slopes now have more bounce and don't feel as bad after skiing!

I don't ski - I'm not even remotely athletic. The ski poles were for keeping me upright while doing my outdoor chores and going between outbuildings. I use them in the summer, too. Walking thru thick underbrush and over fallen trees has been difficult in the past. It will be interesting to see if there are changes there, too.

One of my regrets about being so overweight - more so in the past - was not having the energy to do things with my kids. I'd take them to the nearby ski resort (which is where I got the idea of using ski poles to walk safely) to go snowboarding - and I'd sit in the lodge all day reading and drinking cocoa - full sugar!

very creative Bonnie. Never thought of that. When my knees where bad I just bought a cane to help me with the knee that was hurting.

You know what is funny, is I got so use to limiting myself and when I lost the weight I have to continually remind or remember I am not lmiited anymore like I use to be.

For example I was playing "soccer" with a beach ball in the house with my dogs. and I was able to run around lightly and play with them turning quickly and then moving again.

And I was like wow, i forgot how much fun this can be.

Seriously, I can't say it enough of how great it is to push myself in work outs.

One thing i forgot that does is it gets rid of my stress. I can take all the stressed energy in my body and just funnel it in my workout and it is released!

Had another good work out last night! Heart rate up to 146

And stress gone... Whoo hooo

My eldest dog had diherea under my desk last night.

With ease and no body issues, I was able to get down on the floor and fit under my L shaped desk and literally have enough room and flexibility to clean it up with no problem

WhooHoo!

Being able to dance more and more. And have so much more rhythm and flow to it.

When I was younger I really was a poor dancer. But since I did all the psych work on myself in relaxing and being. And now loosing the weight.

I can really enjoy shaking my booty. And I do really enjoy it.

And I don't care doing it infront of other people!

I still have trouble tying aprons in back because of a shoulder injury. But the last time I put on an apron, without thinking about it I brought the strings around and tied them in front. Then I noticed! I haven't been able to do that in years!

Ha... pat, that must be a fantastic feeling..

I was thrilled when I finally weighed less then my 6 foot hubby!

Whenever, I go through my closet getting rid of clothes or briging in new clothes. He comes up plops himself on the bed. And said time for a fashion show... And does his cat/whistle calling
