Default celebration salads

What's the cause for celebration? Went to first farmers market of season today and loaded up on plenty of spinach, lettuce, and wild greens! Here in the "far north" we're just on the cusp of spring, I know those of you in CA think that's crazy. But after a long winter with very slim pickings for produce and veggies, salads seem so luxurious! I may even make a salad for my birthday this year.

Looked up a great post from Marks Daily Apple with creative ways to put together a salad, lots of good ideas here, "Choose Your Own Salad Adventure":
