Default Looking to gain tone and fix my posture

I've been lowcarbing for not very long, and have reached a weight I'm perfectly happy with, around 157 whereas I started at 170. However, I look pretty skinny fat. The extent of my exercise is sets of chins ups and pull ups with different grips, along with push ups and weighted squats all done at home. I have access to a free gym so I hope to do some weight training there, however do not have a trainer. I really have no idea what I'm doing, so would you suggest machines vs free weights? To be honest I'm very intimidated by the free weights and would feel more comfortable on machines.

Also my posture has major issues. As you can see here, around my lumbar vertebrae there is an unnaturally huge curve giving me a bigger than normal butt and jutted out stomach. Any thoughts on how to fix this, either through exercises or stretches?

There is a free step-by-step program you can download from Mark's Daily Apple, called Primal Blueprint Fitness e-book. I would highly recommend that as a starting place to learn about how to do workouts, plan your days, plan when to make it harder, all that.

As to your lumbar curve - it may be okay for you, or something to look at. I would be careful to take that up with a physical therapist, sports trainer, chiro or other specialized body worker, NOT a trainer at an inexpensive gym. they are not really trained for that sort of thing, unless you find a gifted individual trainer who has taken an interest. If it was MY back I would ask around for a rehab gym and find someone who has a track record in fixing that with other people.

re: posture - try Pilates. Go to a specialized studio if there's one in your area. It's had to get enough one-on-one time at a Y/ box gym to perform the movements with the correct technique.
