Default Oh I am Soooooo Excited!!!!

Hey Girls!!!

Can I Join In Your Journey?!

Let me give you a little back ground info. I started Atkins in Nov 2 2002, I have lost 33 pounds (4 shirt sizes and 5 pants---I exercise too!) By the end of Feb 2003 I was not really seeing any weight loss, and I have been chatting with Shelia and several of you ladies here, so I decided to try CAD. Well in the end of Mar (Still no loss on Atkins). I started the CAD diet. At lunch (which is my RM) was a carb free for all! I had the initial 3-4 pound gain from Atkins to CAD which I held on to until this week (2 months). Looking back I really think that I was in a stall with Atkins and it carried over to CAD...I went to Six Flags Over Georgia last Saturday and ate all day. But you know what?!?! I started loosing Monday! I lowered my carbs Mon and Tues (No RM), and then continued my CAD style eating Wed. Friday I lost 2 1/2 pounds and this morning I lost 2 pounds (Yes I average my weight) so this helped on my weekly weigh-in!
I also realize that I can't keep this weight loss at this level but boy did it feel good to see it.....finally!

Earlier this week, I went back to reading my CAD book and I read to stay at CAD, even if you do not loose at the beginning don't keep changing diets because evently it will work! ( I was thinking about going back to Atkins--I had been on CAD for almost 2 months with no success)

But I must say I feel better on CAD I have more energy, and I feel like a weight (no pun intended) has been lifted off my shoulders, knowing I can eat with my family, go out to dinner and I can eat certain foods that are prohibited on Atkins! I knew that eventually I wanted to switch to CAD but I was going to loose more weight and use it more as a maintaince WOL. But I am glad I tried it now! I don't have any cravings and more energy!

I Know I Can Do This!

Well, Sorry About the Rambling!

Wishing Everyone Great Success!
Julie

Cool Hey Julie that's great!

Always wonderful to hear of CAD successes

I know you have been wavering back and forth a bit, but CAD is truly such a wonderful program when it is followed to the letter. It is strict but gives us the wonderful freedom to eat some of our favourites every day

I am glad you are feeling good about it. You will find lots of wonderful support here.

Tracy

Default Hey Julie

Great to hear someone else is loving CAD. I just started 2 weeks ago and I feel sooooooooooooooo awesome. I have already lost 8 lbs!!!! I have so much energy and don't crave. The only problem I seem to have is I sometimes get stomach aches and I a have irritable bowel syndrome that sometimes flares up. But other that that, awesome.

Good luck on your journey with CAD.

Becki
