Good Morning my Cave-mates!

Yesterday I ate:

fasted til 12:30. (It was for blood woork, but I actually wasnt hungry-makes me wonder if I just eat in the morning for the taste to wake me up).

I broke my fast at wholefoods-which is good and bad:
thickish slice of beef
small side of some non-paleo grain dish
Big salad with mushrooms, avocado
honey dressing

Dinner:
Hubby's homemade stew: organic...grassfed beef, spices, celery and carrots. A lot of it.

Snack: small apple

And>>I made myself drink water! you have no idea how hard this is for me. Pathetic, I know.

Today, Im starting with tea, and perhaps some leftover stew, if i feel hungry. Otherwise I might bring it with me and eat it when I actually am. Reviewing yesterday's food helps me focus for today. I think if I dont "fast" this morning
I will at least exercise before I do eat. I gotta figure we had to occasionally catch our breakfast!

APE day #3

lunch:
huge salad - 3 cups of mixed greens, 1 shredded carrot, sliced cucumber, 2 stalks of celery, a small tomato, 1 oz raw almonds, 3 shiitake mushrooms sauteed gently in coconut oil, parsley, and 2 hard boiled eggs
dressing: EVOO and balsamic vinegar

snack:
4 oz raspberries and 1T cashew butter

dinner:
chili made with grassfed beef (beef, coconut oil, onions, garlic, tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt)
raw fennel salad w/EVOO

dessert:
small slice of this squash pie thing. like a pumpkin pie, but with paleo ingredients

I know to some of you my use of olive oil and things like using paleo ingredients to make a pie isn't really "pure" paleo, but they fall within my own guidelines. We've all drawn our lines in the sand somewhere. This is a helluva lot cleaner than I've eaten before!

Worked out first in the A.M. Ate breaky around 11: AM.

Breakfast:
tea,
smoothie with raspberries, blueberries, hemp protein, and water.
1 hardboiled egg

Licorice, and jasmine teas

Dinner:
bowl of leftover stew,
1 hardboiled egg,

Hour or so later:
1 bowl of steamed broccoli, carrots and a turnip
-with flax oil and vinegar dressing

Snack: apple

Felt hungry in the afternoon, but the tea kept me going 'til i could get home and eat something meaty first.

leetle tiny slice of my paleo pumpkin pie

snack:
watermelon

dinner:
leftover grassfed beef chili
roasted sweet potato w/olive oil
salad: romaine, cucumber, carrot, tahini dressing

dessert:
leetle tiny slice of pumpkin pie

DH and I went on a bender last week because of a lot of social stuff that cropped up, and I gained like 4lbs. I'm happy to say that going strict paleo this week has already lost me all 4lbs I gained.
