Question Define Plateau....

well, I just finished my 3rd week of CAD, and after listening to how much more involved CALP is, I think I should read that. Because I might be headed for a ....oh no.....dare I say it.....

PLATEAU...eghads....

Here are my stats.
These are averages...
After 1 week, 2# down
After 2 week, another 1.5# down
After 3 week, a measly 0.8# down

How long have your plateaus lasted? Anything to break them? I just love CAD, and don't want to go to CALP unless it is absolutely necessary! I think it'll be more restrictive and less FUN, okay, it's probably healthier and more regular weight loss, but I figure if I can manage an average of 1# down per week, I'll be okay. I'm just worrying in advance.

Please share any comments appreciated, thanks!

Default Some insights

Hi Summer,

I'm actually doing CALP (never read CAP) but my understanding is that it's essentially the same except that CALP allows for snacks (which I understand that CAP was very adamant about no snacks) as long as they are carb-controlled, and the RM is outlined more clearly.

Also, you may not be heading for a plateau. Just looking at your stats I can see that you don't have very much to lose (lucky devil ) and people who don't have as much to lose usually lose weight slower. Sounds like your first 3 weeks were very good and a very healthy weight loss so your body may just be taking a break from losing that much weight. Be patient!
