Default So...How was your Turkey Day?

Anybody go overboard for Thanksgiving? I had some turkey (no gravy), and well as carrot (just a little), and some green beans. I skipped the beer, spuds, dressing, peas, pop, etc. I did have one little forkfull of pumpkin pie though.

My intent was to give myself a day off, but when I sat down to eat, I decided it just wasn't worth it. I think for x-mas I may splurge and have a real chocolate or something. Maybe a spoonfull of stuffing. Maybe a couple of light beers.

Interested to know how ya'll made out.

Don't know yet because mine's tomorrow.

I have no qualms or have to make choices about anything. It's all low-carb from the apps to the dessert.

I would have done the same, Karen, but I was invited to a friend's house for dinner, so I had to live with what she prepared. I'll have more flexibiity for x-mas. It would be interesting to see what a LC Chef like yourself would be planning to prepare for such an occasion.

BTW, many people have their thanksgiving day dinner on Sunday. We also eat x-mas dinner on the 24th, not the 25th. Different traditions for different areas of the country, I'm sure.

Cheers,
shutt22

Hi Shutt22 and Karen, I had dinner at my brother's place. I had a little piece of his wife's pumpking pie. (her name is Karen)
I was great, didn't eat the crust but then I was hungry all night!!
We visit on Sunday because of the distance to drive.

Shutt, Karen has a fabulous menu posted under LC recipies at the top of the screen. One by one I'll be trying them all. Right now I'm sticking to KISS as much as possible. Have a nice day, I already mowed the lawn and have a lovely dinner in the oven.(Lemon garlic roasted chicken and will serve with Spanish green beens) Nancy
