Smile back again!

Hi there just wanted to introduce myself as on main site again after a 6 year lapse. Managed really well but the last few years i have struggled and this year did an all time weight gain of 2stone 2lb since stopping smoking in jan. I never really chatted with anybody from britain on this site last time round so hope it will be a bit different this time. My name is Ann and i live in Edinburgh.

hi
i'm trying to get back to this to,lost about three stone, and put
one and a bit back on,curses to sugary(sp)stuff.
i really think that talking to people helps, you're not on your own.
make a journal foryourself, and hopefully plenty of people will pop in
and help you along the way.

Welcome back Ann. I hope you soon lose that 2 stone again soon. It is 'young fat!'. They say young fat is easy to get rid of! I hope they're right!

Yes, do start a journal. There are quite a lot of brits on here who will come and visit you.

Hi Ann and welcome back!

Sorry to hear of your struggle and weight gain due to giving up smoking. However, I'm sure that if you put your mind to it, you'll lose it fairly easy, especially if you take advantage of the wonderful support around here.

Hi

I've also returned to the board recently. Have lost a chunk of weight in 2003-4, I put weight on until last summer when I went back to Atkins and lost a couple of stones. While I was away quite a few active mates have left so I am just finding my feet too. It really helps to have support from others on the same path.

Good luck

Hi Ann - good luck with it! I'm also planning to clamber back on the wagon on Monday after a one-year lapse...
