Default Low carber due in March

I just wanted to say how happy I am to see this board and these pregnancy threads! I have searched the web looking for support during my pregnancy. I'm almost done now and am happy to say I stuck with my lifestyle, although somewhat adjusted. I have had such a different and better pregnancy than my first one. Minimal weight gain, no RLP, few aches and pains, hardly any swelling, and more energy.

I'm really hoping low carb helps me with my milk supply like it did with my pregnancy!

Just wanted to let you know, Jessica, that my beautiful DIL has eaten at maintenance levels throughout nursing and I think lil Miss M looks pretty healthy - and mama is doing very nicely losing baby weight at the same time Of course, Miss M is teething right now. NOT so pretty.

becky, thanks for the warm welcome!

Sue, glad to hear about your DIL's story! I think as long as I'm losing at a reasonable pace, it'll be okay. I just also have PCOS and those hormone issues on top of everything else can make life difficult. I'm hoping the low carb will help with my milk production like it helped me get pregnant and have a good pregnancy.

Hi, Jessica; welcome to the forums! Some low carb moms find that very low carb amounts can reduce milk supply; you might want to check out the Breastfeeding thread, if you haven't yet, and see what the experience has been.
