Default Candida Die off??

I have been following Induction (Atkins) now for 15 days....have been having no cheese except those listed, mozzerella & cream cheese...no muchrooms...little bits of vinegar but not anymore.

Anyway...the past 4 days I have had upset bowels, belching, indigestion, sinus pain. I am certain it is from the yeast dying off! Thank God...die you little suckers die!! LOL

So my question is, how long does this last? The diahhrea is my main concern..hard to go out without being near a washroom.

My natural dr has given me bee propolis to kill them off.....and I started taking Grapefruit seed extract and drinking tea tree tea.

Thanks!
Natascha

Die off time varies from person to person. You may be doing too much too soon. Consult your doctor and he may tell you to cut yor dosage of supplements in half. I too suffered from the Herxenmeir (spelling) rxn and I had to cut my supplement way down, then gradually build back up to the required dosage. Hope this helps. Keep me posted! We can beat these buggers for good!

P.S. What did your doctor say about carb intake?

Default Carb intake

The diet my naturopath gave me was pretty much exactly like "The Yeast Connection". He advised around 70 grams of carb, no fruit the first 3 weeks.

So atkins is more radical in the sense of no grains at all!

I have a consult with a Nutrional Consultant from Nutrition House vitamin shop next week....he's really up on the Atkins diet and blood type diet and will advise which supplements are best based on your past medical history and your blood type. What is the best cleanse to get rid of Candida etc...

Should be interesting!

I realized talking to my doctor that low carb plans tend to be a bit more radical on the low carb thing than they are. My doctor suggested that I eat mostly veggies and lean cuts of meat for the first 14 days, then gradually add grains, fresh cheese, and fruit last. I'm up to grains, but I'm taking it slowly because my blood test came back as inconclusive as to whether or not my candida is systemic or not. Let me know what supplements your doc suggested. I'm taking SF722 ( a fatty acid), yeast cleanse, vit c, fiber to keep the colon clean, and digestive enzymes.

Arnie,
I am a new member, and this is my first reply. Having just learned about the whole yeast thing only several days ago; I am intrigued almost to the point of obsession with the topic. I seem to fit the profile of the yeast sufferer to a "T". Tell me more about the fatty acid supplement you've been taking. I've been low carbing for almost three weeks, and true-to-form I got a yeast infection after about two. Acidophilus has helped, but learning about all the other side effects of candida; I'm looking for a more aggressive approach.
