Yes, I've used caprylic acid and it's a very good yeast fighter. The only side effects is if you cleanse yourself to vigorously of candida, you may get a Herxenmeier (spelling) reaction....headaches, nausea, etc. It's just the candida dying off.
Hope this helps!

hi,

Last Christmas i did a detox and used Capryllic Acid while rotating it with Formula SF722, oil of oregano, garlic, and grapefruit seed extract. I had a major reaction-cold sweats, heart palpitations, nausea, headaches. I did it a little too forceful so if you are going to do it make sure you don't push your body too hard, try rotating it every 4 days with another product and make sure you are taking a good probiotic. Good luck

Hi there, I have used the Caprylic Acid but I had bad headaches so I had to cut down. I started this stuff called Aqua Flora, which is actually a homeopathic remedy for candida overgrowth. The first day I had a headache but with the Atkins diet and no dairy, sugar or wheat I have been virtually headache free except for one or two. I am also taking Collidal Silver drops (supposed to be good for killing all kinds of bad bacteria, etc) and I used to only be able to take 2 drops without getting a headache. After almost 2 bottles of the Aqua Flora, I can now tolerate 4 drops of the Silver. Also, I took two of the Caprylic Acid today and so far, no headache. The real test will be if I ever have sugar again. I used to get a SKULL BUSTING HEADACHE whenever I would eat it so that was reason enough for me to try to wean off of it. I feel so much better but I know I am not out of the woods yet. They say with the Aqua Flora that you can take it for 9 months to get rid of all the candida in your system. Also, I try and remember to take a high potency acidopholus??? everyday to replace the good bacteria. I hope you have found some relief from your symptoms, mine just made me so miserable. I have even found relief from this constant depression and lack of energy I have had for so very long! Take care Kim
