Hi Berni I hope all is going well your way! Cold and rainy sounds odd to me with the blast of heat we have here. It’s hot out. Met up with the family and I had a small steak & eggs with avocado. They were nice enough to sub the carby sides for avocado! We will go there again.

Hi Paulette, I agree with what you said about the fast weight loss only being when we have a lot to lose. Very, very slow is what I did for those last 10 to 15 lbs. I only weigh once a week or so, never a daily weigher!

I’m making a small salad tonight. The steak and eggs really filled me up.

Have an awesome Sunday all

HI Gang!

I like this thread. I just read back on most of it - Did something happen in July 2018? It looks like in July posting stopped, until today?? Or, was it the "crash" over the holidays that wiped out some posts? Anyway, weird.

I am basically doing A72- it's always been my guide. I originally started HFLC in 2014. I lost 25 puonds in about 6 months and was very pleased with myself.

Then, some major health issues out of the blue, a couple surgeries, some drastically different diet attempts (vegan etc...) and a series of false starts in the past year and a bit...gained it all back, exactly. To the pound.

BUT, I am BACK!!! On track and very committed. I think once you cross age 40, anything can happen! the past 7 years since that milestone have been surprise after surprise medically... so now, I just try to not be shocked and do not allow myself to feel sorry for myself.

No emotional eating allowed.
No giving in to temptation.
No self-sabotage!

I know that losing weight is one of the VERY BEST things I can do to help my health in an all-around way. I also know that eating very low carbs is the ONLY way my body responds, and burns its own energy stores.

Today I had some bacon, tomato, and shishito peppers with spicy mayo for breakfast. For lunch, I think scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.

Happy Saturday all!

I need to start posting here, too. For some reason, I stopped back in the summer! Life just got in the way, I guess.

Today I am making an Atkins style meatloaf with venison. yummy yum yum, one of my favorites.

Hello to Big Joe, Jams, and Lady Hawk!

My weight has been stable, I seem to be hanging around 185 and can't seem to go much lower. My lowest weight recorded to date was 182, but only for one day!

Not much I can do about it as my body seems to like this weight a lot and I feel really good about it.

Good luck to all with your maintenance or weight loss efforts! It is always a work in progress, forever and ever.

Hi All..

Today was a gym day. I like working my muscles on the weight machines. It makes me feel better. I’m starting on some physical therapy for my shoulder this week. I hope it helps.

I had a nice salad with chicken for lunch. I love my salads. I’ve been adding more vegetables to my meals.

Hi Paulette..

Sounds like you’re doing really well. Congrats on your awesome weight loss. I agree that it’s always and forever a work in progress!

Besides the meats, fish, eggs and other proteins, my food list also includes plain greek yogurt and cottage cheese. I do include salad greens, but not daily. Some veggies are added occasionally, too. I love chicken soup with lots of celery, some carrots, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower. But I am STILL not a lover of veggies...except in soup!

I love nuts & seeds. I love peanuts, too, but I don't think they are the best choice. I eat them often. Shame on me.

Meatloaf is awesome. I make it with hog rinds as a filler. Sugar free ketchup, too. I do use a pack of Lipton soup mix, though, so I am not sure if that is naughty, but I don't really care. It is pretty low in carbs when you think about how much meatloaf it makes.

Hi! I’m back again after several months away. Had a tough holiday eating wise- can’t seem to get away from sugar- back at it with no carbs starting this moment!

HI guys dont know if you remember me, Im Debbie. I have lost 35 pounds in the last year. Its been slow but have gone from a 3X shirt to an XLarge now. I do 20 or less carbs a day, and watch my veggie intake. I have gotten a little slack, not going off keto but just not being as precise. I want to tighten up the boot straps so to speak.
I hope you all dont mind me jumping in. I care for my 87 year old mom so I will try to post when I can.
Nice to see you Paulette.
