I walk daily, at least 4-5 hours, 5 days a week, for my work.

I lost 100 lbs doing South Beach and it took me 15 months. I was 54 yrs old at the time or I do think it'd have been sooner than that.
It took me a total of 20 months to reach my goal of 160( -114 lbs). I haven't seen 160 since I made it there 5 yrs ago as I've been in the 150s this whole time.

But it didn't matter how long it took me to lose it because I was losing it and thats all that really mattered to me.

Wow Judy, that is awesome. I have exactly 50 lbs. to lose. I don't care how long it takes me either, because this is how I'm going to eat for the rest of my life. Period.

9 months to go from 280+ to 180 in 2004. i was 40.
45-60 min of cardio and weight lifting 5-6 times a week.
exercise is a requirement imo not only for weight loss but for good health. walking is fine!

love, all I can say is WOW! I notice you are doing "modified South Beach." I'm just curious; how are you modifying it? I always like to hear how successful people do it!

p.s. All of my exercise will be walking too. I'm ok with that for now.
