"Carbs and inflammation" -- that's not really the way to group stuff together. Carbs, toxins, antinutrients, lousy oil ratios, and other things -- more we don't know about probably including stress and so on -- all pour into the end result, which is "inflammation". Which then becomes causative in a thousand directions.

It's just that the way it was written made it sound as if inflammation were a mere thing like carbs, when it's not a first cause, it's a result.

For some reason, this put me in mind of this quote :

LOL! So, so true. I live alone and I hope it isn't for me most of the time.

Exactly, the problems started when we were younger. By the time you're 40, the damage is done.
The teenagers and 20 somethings just love what they call "hanging out at the mall". What do they do there ? Eat, drink, shop, eat, watch a movie, drink, eat some more, shop some more ....

Food availability is so high, its available everywhere. There's so much variety. Studies show that variety makes people consume 20-40% more. So much junk, available so easily, with so many tempting ads that portray you as "cool" if you're swigging a Coke or Pepsi ..... ads that tell you that buying stuff, eating stuff and drinking stuff is cool.

Consumerism.
