Default recipe for Sticky crock pot chicken?

I'm not even sure if that's the correct name. I know it was some kind of sticky chicken cooked in the slow cooker. It marinaded over night with spices and then you put it in the slow cooker the next morning. I couldn't find it in the recipe section either. Can someone help me?

If you look through the Contents sticky in the Main Dishes forum you'll find it. It's definitely there.

I'm intrigued ... I'll have to go look for it too. Sounds like a good dish for this time of year!

There's also a link to it in the Crockpot thread. Links to that are in the Main Dishes Contents and Induction threads, as well as the Kitchen Talk FAQ.

I think the thing to know for crockery slow cooking chicken or any meat roast is: add very little water, if any, to the crock pot before cooking, cook on high for an hour or two then switch to low to finish, if you are there to control the process. It can take about 8 hours total.

I just cooked a couple of roasts -- one beef and one pork, both in the same pan in my B&D toaster oven. I marinated in cider vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, fresh garlic, red and black pepper plus some other special seasonings for two days, then I cooked em low and slow -- about 250*F for 5 hours in a pan covered in foil. They were both delish

I check if the meat is done with a meat thermometer, I look for 160*F in general.

I should have known there would be a good recipe for that here but I didnt!

So I adapted a few things and made my own recipe a year or so ago.

It is on my blog here

my family loves this dish and it is economical too.
