I have just incorporating nuts as a level 2 treat into my woe once in awhile. Just thought this might be interesting/helpful...
best way: alone after eating grapefruit and then drink lemon water. seems to create only teeny imbalance that way. treat like any other meal waiting 3 hours til next meal no matter waht it is and 2 hours til fruit. Eat grapefuit 20 min before if ya can/want.
another way. Eat like carb with high fiber veggie like green beans, ie slivered almonds and steamed green beens.
just two cents...
