Default Where do you lose weight first?

As I've been back on track with LC and actually losing some weight, I have some pairs of jeans that I hoped would start fitting better...but no such luck. Every time I put them on it seems like they're just as tight they were 10lbs ago, so that's been very discouraging.
However, today I tired on a woven button down that had been tight before and discovered it fit much better, so apparently I've been losing from the top. I had noticed that my everyday shirts felt looser, but those are cotton T-shirts so I thought they were just getting stretched over time. Glad that SOMETHING is getting smaller finally!
What about you guys? Where do you find you first started feeling your weight loss?

I always thought that when you lose weight it would be general, and not just on specific areas. But I've also realized that my abdominal area sheds more pounds than the rest.

Yeah you can not spot reduction on where you want to lose weight. I noticed losing in my ankles and neck first. I say 30lbs before i went down a single belt notch. Keep it and use it for fuel and motivation as eventually you will get into them and more. I started at 66 and now a size 32.

I have no idea... but I think the most important thing is that you are LOSING weight...not so much where...PERIOD. So that's awesome!!

Like Maori said keep your "skinny" jeans and you'll eventually fit into them (probably sooner than you think!) as long as you follow your LC WOE plan 100%.

I went from a size 26 down to a size 1 (I still can't wrap my head around that one!!)

Wishing you much success on your journey!

Onward, ↓ DOWNWARD & MAINTENANCE 4ever!

I lose from my top half first, and this time for some reason my calves and ankles - 70lbs down and pretty much nothing from my hips and thighs, but that's lipedema.

Stomach and hips
Bust
Upper arms
Finally (finally!) waist
I don't even bother measuring anything but my waist any more because that area always reacts first to weight gain. If it hasn't increased I know the rest is okay. If it has, it just confirms what I already knew from the scale...time to buck up!

Everyone says they notice my weight loss (and gain!) in my face. Great, because there's no hiding that under a baggy sweater. Lol

Yes, I know spot reduction isn't possible. I wasn't trying for that. I haven't been doing crunches or "ab buster" workouts or w/e.
I just wanted to fit into my jeans again, and I guess I expected that it would be more of an overall effect, when, in fact, what I got was closer to spot reduction it's just that biology chose the spots.

I've been hoping that I'd lose the middle, but even 40 pounds later its barely budged. The arms are smaller, the legs and hips are small enough for the next size down, and of course, shirts are starting to get large across the bust. That darn middle though... its tenacious this time.

I am pear shaped and carry most of my weight in my hips and thighs. My waist is the tiniest part and that's where I lose first. Then stomach, chest, calves, hips, and finally thighs.

The waist band on my pants were getting loose. Then I lost a shirt size. Pants then getting really loose in the waist and hips...the only thing holding them up were my thick thighs. Sigh. Frustrating, but now the thighs have slimmed down a little and I can get into the next smaller pant size.

I always notice it in my face and neck first. For me it's more 'last on, first off'. I'm just so glad to have that lower back roll gone now--that was the next to go. My breasts have been the most recent victims. Bye-bye D cups... I like C better anyway. Now if only I could lose a little more from my belly....
