I had a short induction into tabata this morning. I don't think it's for me but it did show me I've got time for gym in the mornings if I want to!

Gym

Shorter programme. No pull ups or push ups. I did do intervals on the bike though. I felt knackered afterwards but good. I feel I will be able to take it up again no problem.

Gym and swim.

Ok it was only a short cardio - about 35 minutes and about 10 minutes in the pool but better than nothing and a basis to work on. I'm very unfit following Xmas and New Year. I also walked for about 50 minutes to the gym and back so I suppose that counts for something.

Cycled 14 miles
The cycling nearly killed me! I did Marina, Noth Shields, Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and home. It was too much after a long break. Still, I enjoyed it.

Gym (350c) and swim

Joined the gym at the local Village Hotel today. I was very out of form. Only managed 350c mostly on the treadmill. I also had a short swim and a sauna and time in the steam room. It's not cheap so I'll have to go fairly often to get my money's worth!

Gym (400+c) and swim.

All cardio. Still mostly on the treadmill. I always seem to be falling off the bikes. The rowing I did manage 5mins the rest of the machines still have a way to go before I like them.

Managed two complete lengths of this 25m pool.

YESTERDAY (31 DEC 11)

Gym (225c)

Short visit today and no swim as I had to get ready for the Russian Party. Also to be honest I was a bit gymmed out after the last two days.

All the above have a two mile walk attached by the way - a mile to and a mile home from the village hotel.

Gym (250c) and swim.

With sauna and steam room. I avoided the rowing machine as my back has been aching of late. I am trying to get more used to the cross trainer and a sort of arm cycle.
