Default ? about acidophilus

I believe I have Candida and read(many different places) that acidophilus can help. I purchased some at a local health food store, what I got was Now brand, 4X6 4billion potency 6probiotic strains. I have been taking this for about 2 weeks now and havent seen any improvements. I havent gained any but I havent lost any either. Tonight I tested for ketosis and yep notta tiny shade of pink. I do pretty good about not cheating..if anything I over eat good veggies but I have been trying really hard not to do that. Anyway I got looking at this bottle of acidophilus and the first thing listed in the other ingredients is potato starch! Do you(anyone) think this could be stalling me? if so what else can I do? maybe it is worth the stall to clear up this yeast!? This is the only health food store around here for miles and the only brand of this they carry, maybe I could get something else online. I havent went to my Dr about this yet, guess I was thinking I could take care of this on my own.
If anyone has any advise for me I sure would appreciate it.

To really get your yeast overgrowth under control, you have to have a three-way plan: 1) anti-candida diet, 2) probiotics (like the acidophilum you're taking), and 3) an anti-fungal product (like oil or oregano or some other type).

Just taking the acidophilus probably won't be enough to do it. Also, all of the ones I've seen all have some sort of starch or sugar base for the friendly bacteria to live on, but it's probably not much more than a single gram of carbs.

Good luck!
