Default Hemp Milk

I tried a search to see if this has already been mentioned, but the search function doesn't work for me.

http://www.pacificfoods.com/food/no...mp-vanilla.aspx

1 net carb. It has 70 calories, 5g fat, 3g protein, 2g fiber and 0 sugar.

I've been having it with cinnamon pork rinds and enjoying it. There is no soy taste like I've found with soy milk derivatives, and it's sugar free. I haven't tried just drinking it on it's own without the sweetener.

I'd like to know more too. Dr. Hallberg mentioned that she uses hemp seeds, and there are more hemp products showing up in Trader Joes now. Seems to be a protein source for vegans, but all I can think of is rope, so haven't bought anything yet

I haven't tried hemp milk, but hemp seeds are horrible, as is the oil. Just my opinion. I just tossed them in the garbage. Waste of money for me.

There is a thread here somewhere about hemp milk. My favorite post notes that it "tastes like despair."

Most posters who've tried it say it tastes like rope. Neither of those sound like something I am willing to spend money to consume.

I've not tried it, but I used to drink almond milk which has similar nutritional counts. I enjoyed it and saw no untoward effects. If you enjoy the taste, I'd advise you (OP) to drink it as you would almond milk, but be alert to cravings, weight gains, anything that makes you wonder if it is appropriate for you.

All a matter of personal taste - I love the hemp seeds.

Haven't tried the milk, but if it tastes like the seeds I'm sure I'd like it. I'll have to look for it & give it a go.
