That's the truth! You can always tell when I have been on a fun shopping excursion to either the Farmer's Market or a neat store with lots of unusual/organic/whole type foods.

I often get in a rut and happily eat the same thing day after day. Then I'll do a crazy splurge shopping day and suddenly be eclectic with some things I've never even tried before.

Great thing about this woe, it accommodates so many different foods.

I love to find new foods too...
Variety is the spice of life

Last week I picked up a pack of Boars Head knockwurst and I still had some homemade sauerkraut from the farmers wife.

If you should ever see Bubbies sauerkraut in the refrigerator/deli area, that is a good quality one that is fermented naturally without vinegar.

^^ooh, i love bubbie's! haven't had it in awhile- i should pick some up.

i stopped at a diner on a long drive home. i went with chicken sandwich- chicken, swiss, mushrooms and onions (skipped bun of course)
pickle spear
side salad with bluecheese
a few bites of coleslaw (I know it has sugar, so i kept to 1/4 cup)

it was all delicious, but my stomach is super upset tonight

Since I looooove talking about food and cooking....

Todays lunch (from the café at work):

Pork loin with spinach stuffed mushrooms and a salad. They snuck some bread crumbs in there but I did my best to scrape them off. I'm somewhat of an introvert so I eat at my desk.....luckily I didn't look like a crazy person scraping bread crumbs off of my food LOL.

Jimmy Johns Unwich with provolone, roast beef and ham. It was so delicious. I didn't miss the bread at all.

I love a Jimmy Johns Unwich! It's been a while since I had one. Maybe DS will pick up some on way home from work tomorrow for us. Yum

I just like the name. The commercial is funny too. It's of a stressed out housewife with rowdy kids and as soon as she walks into Jimmy John's, all is well in the world.
They just came to Texas so I haven't tried it yet, but I will...

Today I had a bowl of chopped celery, sweet red peppers and radishes mixed with a little mayo and some chopped hardboiled eggs.
Tasted fresh and summery!

Elizellen- that chopped salad does sound perfect for summer!

another vote for jimmy john's- i am partial to the tukey one with provolone and avocado and such in a lettuce wrap- i love how they wrap it in paper, so it doesn't come apart on you! they also have a handy nutrition calculator on their site, which lets you customize your sandwich.

today's lunch includes:
a little ginger baked tofu
one jarlesberg wheel and one babybel
sf cherry jello
wasabi seaweed snacks

snap peas from the farmer's market to snack on, plus a greek yogurt
diet 7-up
