Default Feedback on Pilates vs Weight Lifting

I've been actively weight training using machines and free weights and I just don't like it. I know its good for my body, makes my bones stronger, etc. I wondering what's you guys' opinion on pilates versus weightlifting. I enjoy the tone I've got from lifting, but I would like to try pilates, but not at the expense of sacrificing my gains in tone.

For all those wondering, I am a woman, so bulking or building serious muscle is not an issue. Thru weightlifting I am seeing curves that weren't there before and I'm wondering if I can get similiar results from pilates. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Arnie

Default strength training with pilates

I have an exercise machine that is a combination of pilates and a total gym. Your own body weight provides the resistance. I have been using it every other day for 2 weeks, and have noticed new muscles. It comes with a very good 25 minute video. I had not considered doing pilates before, but I am very impressed so far. I think this combination is a winner.
