With yellow squash I like to cut them into smaller chunks with a little onion, garlic, garlic salt and butter in a pot with 1" water. Bring to a boil and then turn down very low and let cook with a top on.
When it's cooked my DH loves it with parmesan cheese mixed in.

Are you feeling better now?

Dunrovan, it seems you are looking for some magic formula, some one food on the SBD, or some exact amount on a 6 week makeover, that will cause you to lose weight. Sorry, there isn't one, LC diets work because they reduce hunger and you eat less. And as Ken, Jo and other success stories here found works..No cheating, ever.

Dr Sarah Hallberg uses even simpler rules than Dr Westman's version of Dr Atkins clinic diet:

..they are:

Quote:
Rules for Healthy Eating

Don't drink your calories
Eat real food
Don't eat anything you don't like
If it says light, low fat or fat-free...it stays in the grocery store.
Eat when you are hungry, stop when you are full
No GPS (grains, potatoes, sugar)

If those are the four vegetables you like, then eat some of them everyday...if you are hungry. If you don't "get them in" so be it. The amounts, or even if you have any, isn't as important as No GPS

Her simple explanation, approaching a million views in a year:
