Default Is it okay to not have same amount of carbs each day?

My daughter and I are new to the LC lifestyle, our question is: Is it okay to have a different amount of carbs each day. So far most days we range from 10-25 carbs each day, the highest we have eaten in one day is 25 net carbs. Is this okay? We are truly enjoying the lifestyle, just the other day we tried mashed cauliflower, and it was delicious!! My daughter thought it was actually better than mashed potatoes!! Also I would love to know some more cooking ideas....

Welcome! My carb intake varies by as many as 15g from day to day - most days I'm between 8 and 20g without subtracting fiber but some days I go to the "safety" net myself. LOL

If you are enjoying your meals, seeing results and feeling good, then whatever you're doing is working. Congrats on your success so far!!

The body requires NO (0) carbs per day. There are people on this forum who strive for zero carb intake. It's up to the individual body how low the intake needs to go to stay in ketosis.

Personally, I strive for zero carbs but sometimes, like today, I crave raw broccoli so I have some. Love my broccoli.

If you are losing weight and feeling great -- than you are eating the right amount of carbs. Some people need to be very strict to feel like they have control, and others like the flexibility. You may also need to tweak those numbers if your circumstances change.

Good luck -- it's a great way of living.

I usually land between 20-35, after subtracting fiber.
Too many days in low 20s and i start to feel really unwell.
Others thrive at that level.
We are all unique snowflakes

For recipe ideas, make sure to peruse recipe forums on this website. They are VAST! That mashed cauliflower is a huge hit.
What types of foods do you like? Maybe we can point you in right direction.

Congrats to both you and your daughter!
