Default New £1.5m campaign to encourage consumers to eat meat and dairy

Have just seen the new advert on TV for the AHDB campaign here in the UK

New £1.5m campaign to encourage consumers to 'Eat Balanced; Enjoy the food you eat'

This January, AHDB will launch a new £1.5 million “Eat Balanced” TV led advertising campaign, encouraging more British households to continue eating meat and dairy as part of a balanced diet.
We Eat Balanced

We are embarking on a new marketing drive to inform and educate consumers on how eating a balanced diet, which includes red meat and dairy, is a sustainable way to enjoy food.
Helping the industry regain balance

There is a consistent trend that consumers are reducing their red meat and dairy consumption because they believe it is healthier and less harmful to the environment. This is not the case and we want to redress the balance by educating consumers with our new Eat Balanced campaign.

OMG, I might hurt myself with the bitter, ironic, laughter.

Will the THREE food groups (lets leave out grains, shall we?) make a comeback?

The basic four food groups are:

The milk group: Milk, cheese, ice cream, and other milk-based foods
The meat group: Meat, fish, poultry, and eggs, with dried legumes and nuts as alternatives
The fruits and vegetables group
The breads and cereals group
