I live in Kalamazoo!

Hi everyone! I live near Detroit in Bloomfield. I can proudly say that although I did not grow up in Michigan, I either recognize or have traveled to all of the towns mentioned in the previous posts. You simply have to leave beautiful Holland Jiggerz (lol)!

I live in Michigan few miles outside of Reed City it's about 15 miles north of Big Rapids if any of you know where that is lol.
I posted on another board I frequent yesterday about us having a michigan get together. As someone mentioned tho this states so big we are all scattered around everywhere.

I'm thinking we used to drive through Reed City to get to the Paris Fish Hatchery? On our way up to Marion/Cadillac area..thats where my family is.

I also know where Sarnia is as well. I grew up in Lexington, a small one stop light town on Lake Huron and I traveled to Port Huron and Sarina many times.

Tons of Michiganders online! I grew up in the Grand Rapids area - but remarried and moved to Charlevoix last year! Quite a contrast! Hello to all of you!

Jiggerz - now hold up your hand - palm facing you... Charlevoix is located between about your index and middle fingers!

LOL.....I did that just the other day, to an Ohio'an....and the look I got was priceless.

Yeah Charlevoix is one of those cities "up north" us southern michiganders clump all together.

I still can't get used to the fact that everyone up here calls anybody south of say Cadillac - down-staters! And while I lived in Grand Rapids, Big Rapids was up north!

I'm in Michigan - north of Detroit, south of Port Huron in a little place called East China!

East China... yep, thats the first time I've heard of that place to.

Yup I will be passing that fish hatchery in about an hour on my way to nearest Walmart in Big rapids lol Gonna have to go thru Paris to get there. Won't take the 131 the roads killer with all the vacationers coming north this weekend.

This will be my first 4th of July that I won't be heading north on 131...instead I'll be driving to southern Ohio. Btw, the Grand Rapids/ 131 construction is going to be obscene by the Old Kent (or whatever it is now) Ballpark.
