Thanks everyone - such great support - day 2 and I'm feeling great already, I even think my sugar cravings are gone, although it seems a bit soon for that. I love protein and veggies, not that keen on fruit although I know it is added back in eventually, so I think this is really going to suit me. I love bread, but knowing I can add that back in is good and I usually stay with the Silver Hills bread and bagels, made without flour and from sprouted grains - am looking forward to having that again but funnily enough I'm really not missing it and don't feel any cravings at all.

Now can I ask a silly question?? How do I add a 'quote' to my profile??

I went in and edited my signature and added a quote in there, not sure if that's the way to do it though.

Cheers,
Ms A

Also, I added a picture of my chocolate lab "Mojo" to my profile - and I don't see it anywhere??

Sorry, figured it out - and there it is - the quote - still don't see my Mojo though so if anyone can help with that I'd appreciate it.

My apologies - I went to the FAQ section and found everything there - guess I should do some reading before I ask questions as suggested by one of the members. There is my Mojo - he is 4 years old soon - the light of my life!

Thank you!

Cute Pooch!

You want to put a line in your signature? First click on UserCP and then find edit signature....add your quote there and hit submit.

If you want to quote, you can use the quote button in the bottom right hand corner of the post that you want to quote or.....you can add theese tags with whatever you want to quote in between:
[quote*]blahblahyadayada[/quote*] just be sure to leave out the* as I only put that in so that it would not show as a quote.

As for the bread.....just go slowly when you get to phase II...flour, even sprouted grain flour, has been known to stop most weight loss dead in its tracks. I'd look to add in whole grain if any rgain at all at first....build slowly to flour later when you are closer to your goal weight.

Melissa, it's great to have you here! I can't think of a better place to learn & follow this way of eating. Stick around, and you're sure to make lots of friends.

And way-to-go on your weight loss. Awesome!!! Sounds like you'll have some wisdom to share, too.

Hi Judy!

I am a member over there but at the old rate from 4 yrs ago...I'd never pay $20- per month for their site as its just not worth it.

Your committment to any plan comes from inside of yourself.....I made promises to myself that I kept ie: starting a journal here and using to log my food daily...and I did for 20 months..every single day!! It kept me in it to know that others were actually reading what I was eating!!

We've got a good group here and if you get into the whole journaling thing and come here daily, you will get all the support you can handle.

I've done well here with being on SB and most others do atkins.....so make yourself at home and dig in!!

Hi -

My name is Linda and I'm very glad to have found this forum -- there's so much "real-life" info -- and I'm inspired by the success many of you are achieving.

I'm on Day 5 of Phase 1, and although it's not a walk in the park, I'm down 4 pounds already. I know from past diet attempts that I really can't go it alone, so I'm glad to be here!
