Smile The New High Protein Diet - Charles Clark?

Hi everyone

I'm new to this board and also new to the low-carb lifestyle (3 days in!). I decided to follow the new high protein diet plan by Charles Clark after reading his book and finding it very inspiring. I also like the idea of being able to eat 40-60g of carbs a day so I am not cutting it out entirely.
Is anyone else in the UK doing this diet? Although, it seems like most low-carb diets follow the same rules so I am sure I will pick up lots of handy tips here

Hi, I have just been reading your Journal & came here to find you'd already found the UK thread. I must remind myself to be more observant in future .. Off now to look up Charles Clark on the web. I'm a Barry Groves plan follower but pretty new to it, so - fingers crossed..

Hi Ktb007

I am currently reading Dr Charles Clarks book and will be starting the diet after Easter! I too am in the uk..Wales! How are you finding it so far? It does seem very good and makes a lot of sense! Do you find it easy? I love meat and veg anyway so Im hoping i will manage it ok...but I do love my carbs too but they effect my weight terribly! I have been looking at some of the carb replacement ideas on the net such as Shirataki noodles, if I can find them anywhere I will give them a go and let you know!! I love making my own stir frys!! So will be delighted if I can still have them and keep within the diet! Good luck and hope to hear from you soon x

If you can't find the shiratake noodles in an 'Asian' shop (look in the chill cabinet) you can order them online.
I got mine from here
http://www.mountfuji.co.uk/acatalog...t_Foods_28.html
but www.lowcarbmegastore.co.uk also sells them

Ha, I have found I already have the Charles Clark book, must have read it years ago.. I am following the B.G. plan, which I think recommends a higher fat intake as opposed to protein. Have you had a look at the Dr. Kwasniewski's Optimal Diet? It is on the general thread? It is very interesting.
I live in Northumberland, nice to meet you..

Edit.
Would you believe I'd forgotten we'd 'met' before!!! Talk about "senior moments!!"
