Question Somersized Recipes

Can we start a thread with our own Somersized Recipes or is there some place on this site that does it?? I'm new and not sure of what's here!
On a site I am a member of we have recipe threads. It's a SS only site so I don't know if that's allowed here.
If we can let me know! I have a few recipes I would like to post!

Lightbulb Well I asked.

Good idea Natasha! I asked in the LC kitchen forum so let's wait and see what they say. For now we can post under that thread I think (I called it SOMERSIZERS!) and if we get our own forum later I know the thread can be moved there.

Lots of these forums have moderaters, but I don't know if ours does or what exactly a moderater's responsibilities are. We could start a recipe thread here and have our moderator make it a "Sticky" where it stays at the top all the time. I'm afraid it would get hard to find anything in it pretty fast though. It's better to have a whole forum with headings for the type of meal once it gets big.

Lots of LC recipes are good for all the diets so you could just go to the kitchen and post in one of the recipe rooms, then tell us where you posted too. I LOVE new recipes! I can never get enough. Looking forward to seeing yours.

Default Thanks!

Hey Mamabeek! Thanks for doing that but I was hoping we could post our recipes right here. I found your question in the Kitchen forum and asked if we could post them right here. Like just add them on to this thread if possible.

Or if they let us do it here....We could start a new thread and give instructions on posting recipes. We would want the Level of the recipe and what food combo that it is....

The subject could be for each post could be:

Level One - Pro/Fats - Cheesecake

and then post the recipe in the box here.....How does that sound?

Thumbs up Recipes

http://catlady99.tripod.com/Recipes.pdf

Go to this link for over 100 pages of great SS recipes. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!

This is my first post on these boards and hope I can offer motivation to anyone that needs it.

Besides SSing, I belong to Curves (for 11 months) and periodically hold an "SS" info session in my city for those interested in learning more. It's fun to meet others wanting a healthy WOE.

My favourite recipe:

Easy "Peasy" Pancakes

2 oz cream cheese
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 T splenda

Blend all ingredients together until smooth and pour into oiled pan. Flip when starting to bubble (just like pancakes). Enjoy with SF syrup and some bacon or turkey sausage and a cup of decaf w/cream.

One of my favourite ways to start a Saturday!

Default Hiya Minch!

Good ta see ya!

These pancakes sound great. Have you tried Suzanne's creem cheese pancakes yet? The ingredients are just the same except you separate the egg whites and whip them into mirangue, then stir them in with the rest for a fluffier pancake. Absolutely to DIE for! It's hands down my favorite recipe in her books. I might try your quicker version on mornings when I want these but am too impatient to whip the whites etc.

I eat mine with a cinnamon/Splenda mix sprinkled on top, just like you'd do cinnamon sugar. I keep it in a little shaker just for my pancakes. DH prefers SF maple syrup on his.

Shall go check out the recipe site you listed and add it to my bookmarks. Thanks!

Talking We can do it here!!!

Karen responded to the question we put over in the Kitchen forum. She said it would be best to do it here in our Somersizers Forum. Yeah!! I'm trying to think of how we can do it best....Create several threads.....Main Dishes, Veggies, Desserts, Misc./Snacks
I just don't want too many threads to be started I guess!!!

I will start the Main Dishes thread.....with instructions on how to post recipes and post one to start.

C U at the recipes!
