Question Is it all worth it?

Hi ,
I really like this site. I have been on atkins and I have not starved my self so I can say that is a plus. Just by reading all the comments I feel my problem is no different. I lost 10lbs so far it has been about 8 weeks, I dont know why it is so slow? My normal diet before atkins was no more than 1200kals a day in any form of food. I did lose weight but I was starving. I exercise 5days a week an hour of cardio a day with weights. My problem is am I going to stay this weight ? I just want to loose 10 more. I am feeling so low that I may consider going back to 1200kals a day. Any suggestions?

If you're working out with weights, perhaps you are gaining muscle along with losing fat. Muscle weighs more than fat, so that may be why your scale isn't moving. Have you taken any measurements? Are your clothes feeling any looser? Are you drinking plenty of water? (If you don't drink enough, you may be retaining fluids).

Personally, I think that the way my clothes fit is a much better guide for me than the scale. (measurements are better too, but I don't have a tape measure yet, my bad) My scale's been stuck for about a week now but my clothes tell a different story.

Hope this helps.

Raven

P8STX have you run your menus through fitday yet? I still think you're not eating enough. Too little food will put stress on your body. Stress will cause it to go into starvation mode. Your body will hold onto everything its got and you wont lose weight.

Also, please bear in mind that if you only have 10lbs to lose it will be much slower than if you had 50. Think of it in percentages, 5lbs of a 10lb loss is 50%... 5lbs of a 50lb loss is only 10%.

And Raven is right, how do your clothes fit? Take your measurements, they could very well tell a different story.
