Default 2 hr Mission Accomplished

Great Walk. Went through the park : the sun glistening on the early morning mist was beautiful. Saw a flock (about 50) of pigeons zooming over me in a whooooosh - some of them settled on a roof while the rest carried on and did another circle in total synchronicity before joining the others on the rooftop - quite a sight.
Then along the back streets - some interesting architecture; on to the High Road; got my prescription; did some shopping; was NOT tempted by all the confectionary shops and displays of Xmas Chocolates - got plenty of green veg. ; popped into a Day Centre for a few minutes of socialising before rushing back home.

The whole walk took a good two hours and I felt great afterwards.

Thumbs up Variety is the Spice of Life

Am not sticking to a single type of exercise - becomes too rigid for me.

Do my Knee2Elbow 5-10 times left (and right) whenever I remember - usually first thing in the morning, last thing at night and once during the day.

Haven't managed to get back into the swing of daily dancing again albeit I did go dancing last night - hope to keep it up every Monday night now.

Went for a nice long (1½ hrs) walk in the park today as the sun was shining beautifully. Went up the hill and over the bridge to the flower garden - which can be beautiful at times but only had one bed of beautiful yellow pansies brightening up the place today. Walked on to the duck pond as I had remembered to bring some left-over bread (bought for my friend's visit over the weekend) - dear birds were hungry and scrambling and fighting for it. Two little toddlers also by the pond enjoyed all the cackling - got quite excited.

Walked back pondering over the "Lord" who had presided over the grounds for 90 years (more than a century ago) thanking him mentally for not giving permission to turn the grounds of his home into anything other than a park and being grateful that it was so near MY home.

Feeling pretty good.

Thumbs up Another Beautiful Walk

Sometime since I have visited but I have been doing some form of exercise most days (have missed an odd day here and there to be honest).

Stair Sprints are still proving to be the best way to warm up of a morning.

Met up with a few UK LCers in the Park today. Was a gorgeous sight - all that richness of colour and just the natural beauty all around. Great way to be at peace with oneself and everyone around. Was good fun.

Smile Shame on you, Fiona

Well I am SAD to say, for all my good intentions looks like the Winter Blues got to me again - my exercise regime has been very sporadic and to be honest I was getting quite depressed.

This last week was the worst - however (thanks to an e-mail) I have got off my butt and switched the TV to the Video - my Keep-Fit video and just two days of that has stirred Fiona back to life. It took me until 8pm that first day, of giving myself a hard time, to actually start DOING the exercises.

Today I am going dancing - have been avoiding that since November but no more. Motivation, Drive, Focus will lead me to a Fitter Meaner Stronger Fiona. Give yourself credit for at least sticking to the diet.

Lesson: MOVE, ACTION, EXERCISE, DANCE, DO, LIVE first and think about it later. Be as creative about that as you are about isolating yourself and cutting off from help and support.

Take ENERGETIC, LOVING, NON-JUDGMENTAL care. You are doing better and better with each passing day, each passing season, each passing year.

Default Intention

Intention is the key. Set the goal (in writing) and I manage to do it.

Had a great day dancing yesterday - amazingly felt rejuvenated and not at all tired at the end of it.

Have set up another long day of dancing next month in the Country which I am really looking forward to even thought I'll need to get up and out by 6am.

Okay that was yesterday. Today I will do my 45 mins to the Video - perhaps split into two sessions.

Back on track.

Thumbs up Great Walking

I lapsed into my old habits of putting exercise last on my List of Daily Activities (LDA). Feel I am back on track now!

On holiday and spending most of the days walking and enjoying the beautiful trails and nature reserves here. The scenery is fantastic.

Feeling good too. Makes up for the slightly higher intake of carbs.
Take care.

Thumbs up Cool! - Direct Link to Gym Log

Pressed the "phone" out of curiosity and ended up here! That is cool - direct link to my Gym Log. Need it too.

Well I have been exercising a plenty for the last few weeks - walking till my feet were sore - every day.

But I have also been carb-loading so I haven't lost much weight - in fact I gained a little. Guess it would have been much worse if I had not done the walking.

Next Step: Got to give it some thought. For today ... well mind has gone blank! that says it all!
