Happy Saturday!!!!

Caco how is your mom?

9/1 293.9
9/2 293.9
9/3 290.8
9/4 290.1
9/5 288.4
9/6 287.2
9/7 284.2

Shocked! I have a smart scale with an app connected to my phone. If I have a big weight change, the app asks me "Are you Angela?" It asked me today. I stepped on the scale twice just to check.
I don't expect it to stick but it should stay below 286 I think.

Last night was open house. I think about 20% of the parents came.
My students are all good kids pretty much. No mean behaviors that I've seen. We did take our first math quiz. I have inclusion and resource kids. That means the inclusion kids have a special ed. teacher come into my room and help them for 30-45 min, 4 times a week. The resource kids leave the room 4 times a week for 45 minutes. Its 7-8 kids per class. My resource kids scored 20s and 10s on the quiz. (out of 100) Frustrating. The resource teacher read it to them and gave them hints and such too.

Wow! I thought it would slow down by now. I'm NOT complaining but cautious that this might not stick completely. Yesterday we went out with family for dinner. We went to Red Robin and I had a delicious bunless burger. I ate well but as I often do, I stole 3 fries from my husbands plate, one sweet potato fry from my son's plate, and I had one Corn chip with artichoke dip. Eating out is my downfall.

Ang - great job! I love that your scale asks if it is you. How sad for the kids, scoring so low on their test. I never had to work hard in school, so it is so hard for me to understand the struggle.

CaCO - thinking of you

Kit - how are you doing with your challenge?

Heidi - are you out there?

I hope this is if the the bouncing and that i continue downward. NFL season starts this weekend. I love watching football but I hate that it signals fall.

Had a good day today. Kids are really warming up. I have recess duty this week and its a good time to chat with the kids and get to know them. I got lots of hugs today.

Now, LP are due Wednesday by midnight. UGH. Time to do more planning...
It just is ALOT right now. I LOVE the planning and activities and such but there just isn't time in the days to do it all right now. I worked all Sunday on school stuff. Tonight I had dinner with my retired friends (from a school where i worked for 9 years). Tomorrow is our church marriage group meeting (Re-ignite). Wednesday is a staff meeting after school. They are due by midnight Wednesday. Last time it took me about 5-6 hours to complete. I guess I'll do my best to get something up there and just make changes later if I need to. I don't like doing things halfway.

LCAng - Wow! You are doing amazing. What’s your plan right now? Keep up the great work!!

Yes, I worked about 40 hours over the weekend. I haven’t weighed or eaten clean. Hoping to get back to it tomorrow.

Must sleep now. I’ll check in again tomorrow.

Kit – glad to see you back posting! Would love to hear how you managed your eating while working so many hours in such a short window.

CaCO - how is your mom? how are you?

Heidi - missing you.

Still a bit busy at work, easing up though.

Sosumi - Glad to see you posting. I didn't manage my eating at all over the weekend. I'm an emotional eater and haven't gotten past that yet. When I'm busy and stressed, my plan goes out the window. I didn't have time to plan or prepare (or at least didn't make it a priority) and where I was the food was provided and everybody was expected to eat together. I was pretty much on my feet for 12 to 15 hours a day and I was moving around from location to location so I ate what was provided. They actually provided some low carb options and I still went for the carby stuff. I think if I had more time prior to be really in ketosis and strict on plan, I would have done better, but the timing just wasn't right. So it is what it is -- moving on.

I hope CaCO3's mom is OK. I'm really concerned about them.

Thanks for thinking of me gals! I’ve been out of town for grandson’s 5th birthday party weekend, had such a good time, but gained. :blush

Before that we were in Minnesota for family reunion and then wandered our way back to Colorado thru Amish area in SE Minnesota and the Amana Colonies in E Central Iowa among other places. Gone for close to a month all tolled, nice trip but good to be home. I really struggle, heck I really end up abandoning my WL plan even though I have good intentions in the beginning. . My downfall is trips and vacations especially with family. Good times means good food too I guess.

I really need to get back into my good ‘rut’ but with so much sugar in the system it is terrible hard as you all know. I feel like I don’t fit in on the other site/thread anymore but I like the format over there so much better and it’s so much easier, would you all ever consider going back there but to a new thread of our own say, on the Challenge thread section?

Hi Heidi!! So good to hear from you. I’m glad you enjoyed your trip. I thought maybe you decided to stick with only the other site due to formatting preferences.

I definitely would be willing to go back to another section of the other site and have thought of doing that too. That was originally the plan but admins/moderators got involved and made it tough. Our thread founders wanted to make it for non-fasters only and admins didn’t like the wording so it turned into a pain. I think if we went into a sub-forum with an Atkins or Keto focus and just continued there we might be OK. I’ll look for an appropriate section and let you know. I’d leave it up to Sosumi. We have to kind of try to fly under the radar for a while I think.

I wanted to add to my post that another thing I struggle with is lack of energy. I was in a part of my journey where I was super low energy and wouldn’t have been able to survive the weekend without carbs. I need to go long enough to switch to fat burning or something before I’m good. That’s another excuse for not sticking to it last weekend.

How about a daily weighers and chat thread here under Atkins or Keto?

http://lcneighborhood.com/board/8/weight-loss-plans

Sosumi - would you be open to that?

Heidi - just in case you aren’t aware of it - this site doesn’t allow posts about long term fasting so that may be why it’s preferred as well. Some of our group really didn’t want to read about 30+ day extended fasts.

Hello all! First time I’ve checked the thread in several days. Thank you for the warm wishes. Mom is still alive but we are going on day 11 in the hospital. I was so worried last week I actually called the family to alert them that this may be “IT”.

They fix one thing and another malfunctions. Her oxygen is better but her heart rate went down. Heart rate looks stable then her blood pressure went down. Multiple daily diarrhea moments, they have adjusted her food to be low residue and low fiber...oh and she fills up with fluid and then they have to give her a huge amount of lasix to pee it out before her lungs fill up with fluid again. She’s starting to get angry about being there. While I get her point, we aren’t prepared if her oxygen level goes down to 63% at 1am like it did two days ago. Turns out that was an equipment failure, it stopped blowing, but still...not like we are going to check her vitals at 1am.

On Sunday my ex brother in law laid out that he can no longer keep my son. So, I have spent much of this week lining up psychologists, psychiatrists, school meetings...etc. he doesn’t want to go to his old high school, too many bad patterns, which I understand, but holy cow are there major hoops to jump through if you want to go to a school you aren’t zoned for!!!

The program he was in filled out a medical form that the county requires if you want to switch schools. Some scary stuff on there that he’s been diagnosed with. The top one being Bipolar 1 Disorder...and like 5 other things. Poor kid!

No idea what I weight. I have made SOME good meal choices but some very bad meal choices....I think y’all will understand that one. Tomorrow I am heading into work for the first time in two weeks. My boss said he understood, let’s hope he wasn’t lying.

Cross your fingers!!!
