Unhappy I JUST heard!

I fell off the wagon and have been living under a rock. I was channel surfing just now and saw the replay of him on Larry King Live and was shocked to read that he'd passed away. How ironic that he was walking to work when he fell....makes you wonder if he'd taken a cab or driven if he'd still be here. Moot point, I know.

I appreciate his life's work and will keep trying to make positive changes in my life. God bless him and his family.

Most great artists and scientists alike dont find fame until long after their deaths. Maybe Dr. Atkins will finally get the respect he has deserved for so long.

He is a great man, and I’m sure he died satisfied with his life’s work.

My condolences.

-Jake.

Thanksgiving day is a good day to remember Dr. Atkins. We are all thankful for this great man who has devoted his life to improve ours; who has done his best to improve all humen yet he has been appreciated during his lifetime by only a few. God bless him and his family.

Default Thanksgiving!

I am not an American but do understand what that time of year means to that great nation.

It is about giving thanks for everything in our lives.

Dr. Atkins is truly someone I give thanks for. He bucked all tradition, and welcomed discussion of his beliefs. Truly a good man. Dedicated, caring and so very knowledgeable (sp?).

He made a difference in my life and I endeavour to pass on to everyone I know what I have learned.

It truly doesn't matter if everyone believes and understands all that he taught....

The seed has been planted. Good seeds, in fertile ground, and as all good seeds, the plant/truth will grow.

God Bless Dr. Atkins. And a very Happy Thanksgiving to all my American freinds.

Love and a good life to all!!!

Cheers, AJ

i have to admit i thought people were just pulling my leg about Dr. Atkins dying...iv'e only heard about his diet since november of 2003 after witnessing the amazing transformation my friend had on his diet. So i thought what the hey i'll give it a shot maybe there's hope for me too...and let me just say the man was a true genius! iv'e only begun and the results are amazing...it's good to know he passed away knowing he was right about his theory...but sad that someone who has changed so many lives for the better is gone...thank you Dr. Atkins...for sending me on the right track to happiness...

Good to have you hear, vixy. I miss Dr. A terribly, but I still love it that the pounds keep melting off.
