Hi TDC! I've got 120 lbs to lose. Been on Atkins in the past and worked great for me. I'm glad to be back on the wagon

Hi all! Was recommended by some great people on this forum to come check out the TDC so here I am. hehe. Seems like a great place. I am devouring many of the topics already. Such great thoughts and information.

As for me, I have been all over the place weight wise my whole life. Some extreme highs and well, not too many lows actually. I am a CALP-er (Carb Addicts Lifespan Plan) and it works well for me. Have lost 10lbs my first week back on the WOE and would like to get down at least to 250, possibly, 225, maybe even 200. We'll see! One step at a time for now. I am hoping to meet some great people on here and you're all welcome to check out my journal.

Have a great day and thanks for having me!
Mike

Default personnal question...

Since I have the same amount of weight to lose and I am 47 (female) I was wondering about excess skin?

Well I haven't lost enough I guess, only 60 pounds but what I see is first the fat gets squishy, pebbly, and then really loose as you lose inches, and if you exercise some it starts to shrink (especially weight training). It does take time but it happens eventually.

Anyone else who has lost a lot of weight want to chime in?

I'm new. I plan to stick around, too. I need all the support I can get. My main source of support is my husband, but he is in Afghanistan right now. I daydream about fitting in seats properly (the ones that scare me are the folding seats that come in a case -- It says weight limit 250 on it and I cringe every time I use one)...riding a roller coaster, and not worrying if I will fit in a restaurant booth.
