I'm a newbie...AGAIN. Been losing/regaining over the last 15 years. I've never learned how to keep it off...perhaps this time will be the charm! I've got 125 lbs to lose...I haven't even started induction week yet - I just cannot get myself in the mindset, but I'm staying here and checking in every day, so that perhaps I can win this emotional battle I'm on right now. WONDERFUL POST full of inspiration from you Scott - thank YOU!

I can't believe I've been a member here since September and just got around to reading that post now. Guess I haven't spent much time in the TDC, even though I do belong here.

Very inspiring. Thank you for posting it, Scott.

Well.. I never thought I'd get to this point. And I did so well before, but I'm back up - to 244. I now have fatty liver and I'm honestly not even sure where to start. And it IS humiliating for me.. so I appreciate this thread immensely.

Do I start a new journal?

Hello, well today starts the journey of a lifetime. I guess I picked a good day since it's Friday the 13th (March) but hey I have so much to lose. I have 100 pounds to lose then I should be in the weight range of my size. I am praying that I will be able to stick with this and to lose all this unwanted, unneeded, unloved, emotional tied eating habit.
Have a good day.
Lord Bless

You can lose the 100 lbs. I have around 80 lbs. I need to lose so we are not to far from each other in what we need to lose.
I am here most times so let me know if you ever need to talk about our weight problem.

I just love you user name, OldasaMule,. I am old to.

Anyway it is nice meeting you and hope to see you more on here again.

I am not sure of your age but there is another site I am on and you might
and I think you may like it to. It is called "any ladies and gentlemen in 60's or older". It is under the (over fifty) site.
All you need to do is go to the main Active Low carb forum at the top left of the page.
Go down to LOW CARB FOCUS GROUPS and look for TOFF'S (OVER FIFTY).
Then look for "ANY LADIES AND GENTLEMEN IN 60'S OR OLDER".
Click on that and go to the last page. You can find me there (SissyPoo) and others.
We chat everyday and talk about our weight and anything else to you want to discuss. We have alot of fun to.
Hope to see you there to...Will be looking for you.

Have a great day. And good luck with your weight loss.

very helpful, i am very new here, im still on the induction phase of the low carb diet, however i feel wonderful, i am female, 28 years old weighing currently 257 pounds, i cant even blame it on the birth of my daughter who is now three because i lost weight all throughout my pregnancy. This is all me. It is wonderful to feel as though there is acceptance not out of pity but of understanding. One of my main reasons for wanting to change my lifestyle, and i say lifestyle because i never realized how much it revolved around food, but anyway I've never been able to cross my legs, and as a femal e it is something that I've always wanted to do. So here I am, hopefully I can get my husband on board (he had low carb fried chicken and had no clue that he wasn't eating chicken drenched in flour)....funny man.

Hi everyone,

I guess I'm a new member of the triple digits club. I never thought I'd be in this position, but I am, and I need to get my act together and make a substantial change to my life. I weight about 320, so I KNOW that the first bit will melt off because my body will be so excited that I'm exercising but I know it's going to be a long, long road and a life time commitment. I just need to be held accountable. No molly coddling and hand holding. I have enough of that in my life that is why I'm in a bigger mess than ever. So that's pretty much me in a nutshell.

Cheers!
