Default No Thyroid- Wt gain

Since my TT in 2015 I have regained almost 50 lbs. I have been working hard trying to jump back on the low carb wagon, but my weight will not budge. Any experience here after Thyroid removal? My levels are normal, hyper in fact..
Thank you!

I have a thyroid disorder, but I am slowly loosing weight on a low carb diet. I knew one lady who had her thyroid removed and she is slim, she does eat a lot of raw vegetables though.

Perhaps if you list out what you eat and how much, someone can see if something can be tweaked.

Your blood levels are normal, hyper even, what about the symptoms? Hyper for me gives me a fast heart rate and high blood pressure. When I straighten out my fingers there is a slight tremor. I had the window open and it was 28 degrees outside. I had a terrible mood and a big appetite. When I was very hyper I began to be breathless and went to urgent care. Symptoms mean a hell of a lot more than stupid numbers. How do you know the medication is getting into the cells, blood test may not tell you that. Is it converting into rT3?

I totally agree, most doctors won't do anything as long as the TSH is in their numbers, they don't seem to care if you are so tired you can hardly get off the couch.
