Default Latest A1C!

In spite of my occasional lapses, my A1C is 6.6! It's heading in the right direction.

My daily BG readings are also going down. Both are good encouragement to stick to the diet.

I'm low carb and my A1c has been pretty decent for a year now...5.6...
I do seem to be stuck though...Last four A1c scores were 5.6, 5.7, 5.6, 5.6...
Although that's good that I seem to be stable I'd like to get it a little lower...
Morning scores are almost always under 100 as well as evening scores...I use Novolog 70/30 mix rather than seperate basal/bolus and prefer to stay on that...I exercise after lunch to cover the time I don't have fast acting insulin on board. My dose is 10 units in the morning and 10 units at night. I walk up to 5 miles daily and do push ups situps and light weights. My current carb intake is 80 carbs which I know is higher than Bernstein recommends but it's what I've found comfortable for me to do...

Good job, Bonnie!

DaveI... you can't keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. Lower those carbs and your numbers will drop.

Nancy,

Ha!...Knew someone would say that...Well...It's definitely in the offing...I have lost a little weight in the past several weeks where before I was solid at 150lbs...Got on the scale this morning and I was at about 146...Don't want to lose anymore...I'll do some experimenting....
