It's a surprise to see anything bad said about Metformin. Lately, I suspected it was going to be the next drug they wanted to put in our water supply. Cancer and heart disease having shown epidemiological benefits. Of course, the fact that it lowers bg a little bit might be the ticket. Red wine has shown benefits, whoops oh darn, spirits show them too! Maybe it's just the little bit of sugar lowering from the alcohol.
