Good Morning!

Rinse and repeat...back to the golf course today. I'm playing with a different friend today and tomorrow. She's a really good player and I get a lot of good tips from her. Yesterday's round was a bit frustrating. One of our friends brought her 22 year old son along to play. Nice kid, but he hit the ball all over the place. We spent more time searching for his ball.......I get tired of that when it's every shot! He did have to buy us all a beer after our round because on one hole, his tee shot didn't make it past the ladies tee. That's a rule....if a man is playing with ladies and he doesn't hit it past where the ladies tee off, he has to buy all the ladies a drink. Not an official rule, but we enforce it at our club!

----------

Trig.....Glad your car came back in one piece! OMG.....I hate it when DH leaves even a water bottle in my car! My golf clubs live in the back all summer, but I want nothing else left in there.

Jaz.....Lucky you on hitting that lottery ticket! I'm never lucky with them and seldom buy one.

Nic....I've lost track of you. Are you in DE or MD?

---------

Well, I have to have another cup of coffee and find a little something to eat before I head out.

Happy Monday!

Hi Pals from the porch in DE
Beautiful, beautiful. I spend freaking HOURS out here.

Karen I was lol'ing over your DD and your comment about 'can't wait til kid goes back to Uni'- I know that well! I love my young adults so much but sorry, once they have left the building and live independently, they get used to it AND SO DO WE. My kids got their first summer home and then after that, they were off to find greener pastures (and we helped with rent as long as they were employed in the summer) Better for us and better for them. DS22 commented recently about how much money he would save if he had come home after college for a year and I was like Yeah he would save money and I would lose my freaking mind. I am DONE parenting and caretaking my offspring!

Lori glad you have someone different to play with the next couple of days. That will liven things up!

Jaz yay on the 200 dollar win! That is a bonus for sure!
Poor Ruger- that itching cannot be fun.

All is well here. Greatly enjoying my second alone day, then DH comes Tu morning and KBE come Weds morning. It was fun while it lasted!
Wide open, no pressing plans just absolutely chilling out and enjoying the freedom to just be.

Food going well, just doing my 'thang!'

Good Morning!

A day off from golf! My friend and I decided that we both needed a break. I had a good day yesterday....even beat my friend(the good golfer) by a couple of strokes. She had a bad day...just not on her game. Oh boy do I know that feeling!

I don't think I'm doing much today. I do have to run to the grocery store at some point. It's nice to not have a schedule to adhere to.

What are you all up to?

Hey Ladies-

Beautiful Summer Day here FINALLY! We have had SO much rain lately!

Nic- Look at you! Lady of leisure in DE! I love you are just chillin' beach side! No better life!

I am curious what you're eating plan looks like. I know you are not making that a big deal.... just rolling with "it". I'm just curious. You are pretty much at maintenance anyway, aren't you?

Yea with hubby time! I know you love your porch! Do you have couches out there? It has windows, right?
Who all is coming this weekend?

Lori- I also think it's hilarious that the 'game" is so serious! I know it is. It is not just a game! It is a passion for a lot of folks. People also make huge money chasing that little white ball around. Just ask Tiger! LOL
So glad we are in full summer/golf mode! It just feels right!

Do you open up your windows in the summer? I can picture you sipping your coffee at your new counter in that beautiful farm kitchen!

Trig- OMG the description of your car after the kiddo slays me! LOLOLOL
I agree that after you get used to having the "kids" in THEIR own space, you crave your own! It is the way it should be! I agree with what Nic said- yeah, after the first summer- they are good to go!

I have read that some 20-30-year-olds move back in with their parents after college to save money. Yeah......NO!!!!! I would lose my mind as well. That is another rabbit hole! LOL

I feel your frustration on that pool! Oh boy! $$$$- Hoping you get it up and running. I see a hot tube in your future! LOL
------------------------------------------------------------------

I am on the down slope of bounce house. Losing the bloat! 3 pounds to go again! Urghhhhhh
It might absolutely be "processed meat". I do like my pepperoni. I also have been getting hotdogs and deli sliced chicken meat. Not as "clean" as "real food for sure. Zero carbs yes- clean not really.......I will finish up what I have and just not buy anymore.
Can't afford to just toss food anymore. Not in today's economy.

I picked up a chuck roast for tomorrow. Just a pure piece of beef!

Ruger's skin is slowly clearing up. I am feeding him pretty clean, chicken and beef. Plain- boiled. Nothing on it. He gets salmon skins "pure"- as his treat.
I think he is just an itchy boy. He has been way more needy that Bella was! LOL
I still miss Bella! She was my spirit animal!
Ruger is a happy go lucky sweet thing. Not the brightest tool in the shed. But he is a joy to have.

Sun is bright today! Coffee is hot. I have a Paris Cafe Candle going. Took a warm bubble bath this morning and feel ready to concur the day.

The search continues, and I am also pursuing other avenues that aren't nursing. MEH- I am curious where I will be in 6 months! Enjoying the journey.

Time for more coffee and need to "get to work".........
I am absolutely going to enjoy some sunshine and fresh air too!

Have a good one!

Lori a day off from golf? who are you LOL but heck yea, nothing wrong in just that. AND I get ya doing a freebie of bring the kid along ONE time kinda, as we all should but in the end, do ya want to teach a young'in golf at this point, heck no ya want golf beer and your time HAHA too funny!! Yea I have zip in my car, very barren, very clean, very 'minimal' like me and I have no FRU FRU stuff from my mirrors or anything else in my car. If anything I don't approve is in there then heck NO just like your clubs.

Nicco, oh gosh you had me laughing cause I easily throw $$ money at the kid to make sure that she is OFF me at this stage of the older game so I am cracking up over your remark.... I so get it LOL

boils down to frugal and save a buck vs my freedom, oh yea I already said I will throw big money after what I NEED in life and it is coming down to just that HA

Jazz I actually don't see Ruger as needy in that he is a carnivore and to be on just what you are doing. I would plain beef n chicken that pooch only... just like I did Bolt. DO NOT allow any extra. He doesn't need it so if he is clearing up then super great for both of you. Carnivore clean all the way baby!!

yea sure up the processed. sodium bloat is real even and will be 'felt very severely' as we go more naked in our eating so always, always back to real food. fresh meat/seafood/fish and fowl on the plate....do that you can forget about all the other crap like cortisol etc and stress and more cause your first line of defense will always be what you zc eat. simple as that. then you learn you as you need thru the time on plan.

Jobs other then your medical career? HUH DO TELL a bit if you can very cool....

------------yea 2 trips to pool store with it IS the filter and finally got it fixed and no more leaking but I wrecked my pool water balance by tons. SO NOW IS DUMPING WATER and refilling and dump and refill and at same time keep checking balance cause my OLD strips were bad. I have fine PH...come on, a strip so off it didn't work from last yr? WTH but I KNOW now my unbalance issue. I know new sand must be in filter soon than later but will deal later on that if I can do this water chem. rebalance....

ok it is ongoing and annoying the heck out of me HA

SO BASED off what Nicco said above I had chat with kiddo. I said I WILL DO ANYTHING, THROW ALL RENT, LIVING to anywhere next yr IF SHE could find a summer part time position regarding her science/chem. career choice. Yes I did cause I can't take it LOL A dime spent for my sanity now beats it all at this point and of course it is only for her best interest in life to move forward this way. Since her cousin A is basically a chem. major like her I will hit up A to find out how to walk her into some freaking summer p/t in that field...I know A can help me forward here. we shall see

kiddo to mow later
me to eat 2 NY Strip steaks in my day. 1 lb and 1 lb and I also got brain on shrimp mode...wee...
hubby is annoying but ok to still keep at this point I guess?

be good all check in later

me first, me first

kiddo car ready tomorrow, only 650 plus we bought 2 fender well trim parts for 235. ok under 1k, happy on that LOL would be double if Ken didn't do it.

pool is a nightmare. I am so out of whack on water balance it is stupid but she said to run the filter like crazy but it is not clearing at all so doing water dump now. drain, refill, drain refill, drain refill......called to get tech out to put new sand in filter but they said they are 5 wks out on jobs....omg.........so forget this pool, gonna fight with it and in the bitter end, if it gives me total grief thru all this I am having a crew come out this fall and take it ALL down. I am definitely going for all in spa with freakin' jets LOL

done deal. when too aggrevated I then become f it and throw big money at the new toy I want HAHA so almost there LOL

ok all good....off to get stuff handled. be good all

Good Morning!

Sitting here pouting because I have no one to play golf with today. Both of my regular partners have Dr. appts today so I'm left hanging. Oh well...tomorrow is another day. Yesterday I went and did a little shopping. I hit up TJMaxx & Target. I found some stuff I was looking for and also some stuff I didn't know I needed until I saw it! I found some kitchen stuff and a couple pieces of "cruise" clothes. Nice baggy shorts for the pool deck and a skort for just hanging around the ship. Can't wait.....November 1st! I'm going to fly to Ft. Lauderdale on Oct. 31st. By the time I get back, DH will have left on his hunting trip to Ohio. He leaves on the same day I get back.

---------

Trig.....Sorry your pool is giving you fits. I know it can be maddening to try to clear the water up. Not to mention the $$$ in chemicals! Good deal on DD's car! Nice to know people that will do the work without gouging you.

Jaz & Nic ........

---------

Just a leisurely morning here and then I need to clear out for a few hours while my cleaning lady is here. I need to go to Walmart....ugh....but it's the only place around that has the Fairlife protein shakes that I want. DH wants to go with me....what fun!

Heya ladies- Late post!

Lori- be first poster tomorrow! It is weird to be the last and then first! It is a "Farris Bueller"...... Bueller... Bueller moment! LOLOL

Sorry, you didn't have a P today! Do players hang out in the clubhouse? Maybe hang out there a bit and find some additional players?

Love, however, you found a few treasures! YAY!!!!!!!!!

You playing tomorrow? - You are so right, your trip is around the corner! Then Holy Smokes you travel the world! Do you think about that alot?

Trig- Girlfriend I would be SO SO SO over that pool about now. You are halfway through summer. Time to get the hot tub! It is an easy teardown. I would be all over that before I would fill, empty, refill, and spend $$$ on more chemicals and the like. It has seen its day for you!
Hottube and happy hour- it doesn't get better.

Whoosh on the car deal. It is awesome to have contacts like that!!!!

What's on your menu? Is it me or are the steaks lately chunky, chewy, and just not great? Tired of buying steak to just pitch it as not edible! I would rather just ground beef.

Nic- The family all in DE now? The boys coming for the weekend? You getting in beach time?
---------------------------------------------------------------

It looks like my last play of work is finally going to pay me for my last week they owe me. I fought for that. Dang straight that is 1200 bucks. Dang right.
So that was a win for today.

Then I got turned down for the two jobs I was truly interested in. Huge bummer. Tomorrow is another day.
I am going to pour a lite wine and toss up my feet, watch a great movie, walk the dog and get good sleep. Tomorrow I will regroup and start again! New day.

Woe- Was pot roast. A little dry- but a tad of mustard helped. Had the last bit of pepperoni slices to go with it. It was yummy.

Ruger is all cleared up (for now) LOLOL He had to wear a tee shirt for 3 days and get slathered in triple antibiotic cream. But I avoided a vet bill!!! He is good. He got a bath today and then resprayed and is relaxing on the couch ready for a movie! LOL

Mentally tired today. It was sort of rough. Again- tomorrow is a new day.
Figuring out what to watch!

Ok- It's Wine thirty! LITE WINE!

Hey all

Checking in. It has been a full day today. I can tell bc I didn't get my NYT puzzles done until now and they are usually done by 9:30 or so! How I measure my days!

Car expenses- we offered to pay DS22's since so far he hasn't gotten a graduation gift from us (I'll get him some "work clothes" also come fall when he is back from his summer job at camp) to the tune of $1200. He needed brake pads replaced etc. That is a TON of money to a young graduate who was a full time student. He is on his way to PA as we speak.

Lori I'm sorry you are missing out on golf today. Glad you got to poke around some stores etc though. That's fun. And a bit of clothing for your upcoming cruise.. yay!

Jaz it's a bummer those two jobs didn't come through for you. I'm sure something will. Hooray on the company paying for your last week. That money will come in handy I'm sure!

Ugh, pools, Trig. They can be so much work! I have muttered many times about filling ours in. It can be expensive etc.

Life is pretty good here. Just KBE on this visit, and maybe even just Rob and I on the next one. After that the house will fill up in various iterations into the start of August!

Good Morning!

Up early and looking forward to a round of golf today. There were supposed to be 3 of us, but one of my friends isn't feeling well this morning. So it will just be "Miss Grumpy" and me. Hopefully she doesn't have a grump on this morning.

--------

Jaz.....Sorry about the 2 jobs. The right one will come along. Happy to hear that Ruger's skin is cleared up. A relief for you both.

Trig....Is the pool water beginning to clear up?

Nic.....I'm sure your beach house will be a busy place for the next couple months. Just perfect for summer fun!

--------

After golf I'll run home and grab a quick shower and then I'm off to get my hair cut. I don't get it colored anymore, so it won't take long. I'm embracing my natural "sparkle". Right now it is kind of a champagne blonde color. If it gets to be an ugly gray, I'll have my stylist put a tint of some kind on it. Just at the "let's see what happens" stage right now.

Have a good one!

Hi Y'all !!!

Lori- LOLOL you and Miss Grumpy! Her poor hubby! Is she married? Holy smokes??? LOL
Did you have fun? You having great weather?

Nic- - Miss social queen you are! So glad you are getting such a blast out of that "Love Nest" you bought! You have way more gotten your money from that beach house! Do you hit up the beach when you are there? Walk the boardwalk?
How long are you staying this round? Hubby should be there. any plans for Father's day?

Hey Trig!
-----------------------------------------------------------

Yea well..... on the two jobs as a NO!
My recruiter is burning up my phone to place me as a traveler again. (yea they work on commission). SIGHHHHHHH- At least I got options. I guess.

Beautiful day here. Fun story .... years ago .... before I was a nurse. I did flipping as a hobby. I would hit up garage sales and thrift stores and then resell stuff. So, I picked up that hobby again (seriously just for fun). But hey it is fun looking for treasure people label as trash.
I just boxed up a coffee maker I found at the thrift store for 4.50 and listed it on eBay and sold it for 50.00+ 15.00 in shipping. It was a Black and Decker NIB (New in Box). I kid you not.
doesn't keep the lights on.... but a fun distraction ..... still looking for that something to keep the lights on!!!!!

Going to Atl. for the weekend. Leaving tomorrow and back Sunday about 2 pm.

Wasn't real hungry today. No issue with WOE at all.

Doing my thing, listening to music and rockin on!!!!!!!!-

I rediscovered Barbra Streisand again. She is an icon and her voice is one of angels. Her and Bette Midler

sorry guys will play catch up on posts tomorrow LOL

pool finally darn near under control in that I have been vacuuming to waste and have basically done this over and over and have refilled the pool with damn near all new water....omg....kill me. tons of work on this actually, but all done very slowly in a way. me and patience, don't work cause I got none LOL

and brain dead now

Black Panther today brought in 1 grey kitten, few hrs later a black kitten, then she brought in a friggin' siamese kitten (yea right? and then she brought in another grey kitten and then she brought in a 5th kitten, grey too.

Now I got 5 baby baby kittens in the garage and the siamese 'I suppose daddy' cat is hanging around now like a creeper.....ugh...

then the Chop comes in and says he saw the big calico cat coming up from the barn and the cat saw him on the porch, stopped fast and 4 little kittens splayed out behind the momma cat.....guys, I pulled the most idiot move of my life here. truly.

I don't even know if these are truly strays or I am adopting everyone's friggin' cats from the surrounding area LOL

I almost don't know how to handle this actually.

ok chat later
can't stand my life right now honestly

OMG LUCKY LUCKY

talked to the Chop and I said hey you got alot of people at the car places you work....say 5 free kittens and he said there is a guy Robert that said he wanted some outdoor cats......the Chop is gonna hit up Robert today and I said get him to take all 5.......can't wait to hear how many he will take!!!

I feel lighter for sure LOL

plus I have no idea but the Panther has moved into the garage and now brought those kittens so I doubt it is a neighborhood cat, even our farmer dude neighbor down the road didn't know the cat when they saw it, so I am gonna take her and get her spayed. I guess I will own an outdoor stray cat at this point....kill me.

OK please please Robert dude take all 5 cats for your property. He has a few good acres and wants them for rat patrol.....cool...

ok check in later....tons pool work today, almost clear now and almost ok....omg pool nightmare but almost ok now.

OMG EDITED to say there are 6, repeat 6! all came out and were around hubby's feet a few minutes ago......I said will Robert take 6? he said he thinks he will.....whew dodged a major bullet on this one, can only happen if this works out. fingers crossed. ps. they are all cute as hell

Good Afternoon,

Home from the golf course and showered.....now in my recliner for the afternoon, as usual. I had another good round today.....2 in a row!

---------

Trig.....OMG on the kittens! Yes, they are cute little buggers, but they multiply so quickly! I hope DH's friend will take them all. I would love to have one of the little Siamese looking ones.....I think they are so cute. Gabby would not stand for a kitten in the house.

Nic.....A busy beach weekend ahead? Have fun!

Jaz.....How's your Friday going?

---------

I'll throw something together for dinner later and that will be it for me. No golf tomorrow as there's a tournament using our course. DH & I are going to DS's place to help him with something. I said ok, but you're taking me out for breakfast first!
