I have lost a little more than 30 pounds on Weight Watchers and have kept it off over a year. However, I am struggling to continue to keep the weight off and to take off another 10 pounds or so. Most of all, I want to lose the FATIGUE and CRAVINGS that still plague me. I know I have fallen into the super-low-fat diet trap (my own doing, not recommended by Weight Watchers). Everything I have read about TSP makes perfect sense to me. Seems like it could fit well with Weight Watchers, too. I am hoping this will really help!

HI Trudy

well you chose well as TSP is a really healthy eating plan with lots of good food.

I was in the WW trap too so I know what you mean and you will probably find it has hard as I did to forget about the old low fat thing.

I've been doing this since March and I've lost about 12 lbs. Not that much I suppose but the real benefits are that I no longer crave carbs like I used to. I was the ultimate carb addict.

The other fantastic effect is that I no longer get tired in the evening. I used to go to sleep on the couch at 8.30 every evening. Now I am out walking every evening and have tons more energy.

The other thing is my skin. People keep commenting on it - it just seems more radiant or something. I'm not quite sure what the difference is, but everyone is talking about it!

So anyway, I really recommend this plan. Get organised and plan your food. In a few weeks you too will jumping around the place with loads of energy!!!!

good luck Clodagh

Hi Trudy:

I have a few comments - I too used WW and a super-low fat diet - I was hungry all the time - I was obsessed with food - around 3 PM each day I was "itching" for something sweet - the cravings for sweet things was absolutely driving me crazy. I had "head noise" - can't think of a better term.
Even though I read then reread TSP book I had a bit of difficulty putting that first bit of butter in the pan and frying up eggs - it went against everything I had read and learned for the past 10+ years.
I have been on this eating lifestyle for over a month - I no longer have sweet cravings, or if I do, they are manageable. If I need a bit of something to taste sweet I will use a few drops of Stevia (100% natural & does not raise the GI) and I feel satisfied. I too have tons of energy and for the first time, longer than I can remember, I feel good and healthy and "stable". Nor am I hungry all the time.
I can't believe we're eating things like butter, eggs, real whipping cream, real mayo etc. and still managing to loose weight. I am down 1.8 lbs. from two weeks ago. I believe in this so much I've encouraged my two daughters to read the book and encouraged them to adopt the eating program (and get off the low-fat eating that I was always stressing to them).
Good luck - I think you will be pleased with your success if you choose to follow this plan.
