Hi Paully,

The short answer is yes, spaghetti squash is on the list of "other" vegetables, of which you can have 1 cup, along with your 2 cups salad vegies.

The longer answer is how about getting yourself a copy of Dr Atkins' New Diet Revolution so you can read up for yourself exactly what you can and cannot have for Induction?

All the best!

Rosebud

Thank you... but I have the book... I just wasn't clear as to whether we could or not if you can have it during induction or are you best just to stick to the salad veggies... I guess my question wasn't clear... meaning are you better off sticking to the salad list and maybe adding some from the other maybe a couple times a week... Sorry for the confusion...

Paully, the book reads to have either 3 servings of salad a day OR 2 servings of salad and 1 cooked veggie. Here's the link to the page at the Atkins site that has all of the allowable foods on it. You'll find spaghetti squash listed in the 'other' vegetables list, down on the page. http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-464579.html

Spaghetti squash is an exceptionally good choice because it's super high in a lot of vitamins.

Be careful though, spaghetti squash is higher in carbs than most veggies. Roughly 8 net carbs per 1 cup cooked.
