I believe it’s best to take them with food so you know they have something to work on. I know DH has managed much better when we found a probiotic that works for him.

This is somewhat easy in that we can tell within days
For example, I have a real relationship with magnesium. The first time I took it, it felt good. If I took too much, I had early warning because I took the chelated kind. (ALWAYS take the chelated kind…) and each step after that, which was (in my case) gluten free, then more fermented foods, then only pickled vegetables (lectins) led to great improvements.
Sounds like Dr. Davis’ latest book has a lot of general knowledge you can adapt to your situation. Everything he’s told me so far has worked out
