I am feeling extremely frustrated:

Gym was mostly empty. They are doing reno so people might be frustrated about that. So I decide this is aperfect time to try the squar rack since noone is around there. Anyway. I load it up with assorted plates after approximating the bar I ask them they don't even know so I just say 15 lbs and then I pile it up to 65lbs including the bar. So I go get the clip squeeze things that you put on and for the life of me I could not squeeze the frickin' frackin clips on. I am so frustrated I want to scream but of course I can't so I gotta go back to the 50 lbs premade barbell because the 60 lbs one I can lift above my head yet. I am so mad at myself. And there was none of the guys there to ask to put it on. God I feel hopeless!

Red, don't feel frustrated and hopeless! I hate those spring collar clips too. I have the collars with screws instead. I like them much better. Maybe you could keep an arsenal of little things with you. The collars aren't expensive to buy. If I had to go to the gym, I'd have to take my screw collars with me as well as my plate mates.

Have a good sleep, kiddo.

Wanda

Wednesday Oct 13, 2004—Day 596
Weight: 112 (I hate chinese food!)

Workout: hamstrings--60lbs (someone was using 70lbs); biceps--40lbs (still tough with 40lbs); then did 1 set for each body part, then another different exercises.

Had a massive headache all day and I am feeling tightness (hard to breathe in my chest). Hope not getting sick. It could be stress.

Red, I know ALL ABOUT the guilty thing. One workout in the scheme of things ain't gonna kill ya and you're body'll probably be grateful for the rest.

I hope to be back soon to my workouts within the next day or two, just starting with lifting before I add in cardio. I'm really hoping my thyroid meds will make things much easier. I hate this feeling of my muscles turning to mush.

Hope ya feel better!

Wanda

Hi Red

Can you explain to me how you do the carb cycling?

I'm not seeing the progress I want and it's either try this or Fat Flush, and man how I hate Fat Flush, even tho it works!

It seems like several of you have seen good results doing the cycling. I'd like to see ANY results...

Thanks Red and thanks for the Thanksgiving note!

Maggie

Hi Red:

Quote:

can't wait for you to be back at it. What are you going to take for you thyroid. You're eating enought so hopefully it will preserve the muscle you have and the rest will probably help too.

LOL, I think it's back on hold. Nat has to keep me in line, given my Type A personality. I'm great at dispensing sensible advise, but not good at taking it. I need to get things back on track with my hormones before I start back to workouts.

I'm taking natural thyroid made from dessicated pig thyroids.

No, I haven't been eating enough. I've been 10 days at under 1,000 calories/day. Usually around 700 or 800. But what's done is done, there's nothing I could do about it. I'm finally able to eat out of one side of my mouth so that should make a tremendous difference.

Oh, TOM came. I hope the cramps are manageable. Your workouts are lookin' great.

Wanda
