Cool Reduction in appetite

Hi all, is it just me or has anyone else noticed hardly any appetite. I usually have one meal, and a couple of snacks and I'm fine for the day. I've been doing keto to for awhile now. This is a wonderful eating plan, I influenced my son to do it with me. He's lost 10 pounds so far, 100 to go. I've lost around almost 45 pounds only have 10 to go. But I've noticed the reduction in appetite.

I have noticed lack of appetite this past week when I started eating Keto rather than just low carb. After dinner I would think what can I eat now and indulged in nuts and cheese, but now I just have another large glass of water or a herbal tea. This is so different to all my other attempts at low carbing. I can actually envision myself reaching goal for the first time ever. I have been low carbing on and off for years, but never made it to my ideal weight, but this is the year when I will. Good luck with your last 10 lbs.

It's not just you. I noticed the same thing after about 2 or 3 months, when I didn't feel the need to go for seconds at the lunchtime buffet anymore. It was only then that I realised I'd already stopped snacking at morning and afternoon tea times.

Now I just eat twice a day and it feels completely normal. It's pretty awesome.

The reduced appetite/hunger is exactly how Low Carb works for weight loss, and why when at goal, are easily able to maintain that weight loss. You eat fewer calories. It has always worked this way, but Dr. Westman explains the newest studies on it here:

I posted something similar. I started 3 weeks ago and after day 5 I just didn’t get hungry anymore. My staff even commented that I’m not eating at noon on the dot anymore lol. I love it, it’s great!

I got together with friends, and we all brought a dish to pass. I brought a cheese and salami tray, everyone else brought a low Fat dish. When I got home I was starving, the food just didn't stick. So I came home and ate some fat. That did it, I was full for hours. My cheese and salami tray didn't last, everyone loved it.
