Default How to store avocado

How do you store leftover avocado after you cut it open so it doesn't turn brown and yucky? I just buy small ones and eat the whole thing as a meal but know there must be a way to have just a slice or two and put the rest away for later. Thanks for the tips!

Cover with an oil. Keeps it from oxidizing. A bother.

I have not tried this but it might work. Pour a tablespoon of oil on a small plate, then add cut and deseeded avocado face down.

I cut in half and put the half I don't eat on a small plate with a bowl over the top. Leaving it out on the counter until the next day and it was perfect.

You can cover the half with clear wrap over the avocado meat and seed. Make sure all the air is out, and it will stay green. I put it in the fridge, and it's usually good to go for a couple days, but avocados don't last long in my house . . .
