I wonder this as well. I would say 7 to 8 years old I started to become overweight. My 2 sisters, mom and dad all ate the same home cooked meals everyday. All 4 of them are still til this day small, not even slightly overweight at all. I don't get it.

I realized I was overweight when I was in 5th grade. I remember in high school I was 160 lbs, that is my current goal weight now. Then 190 after first baby, 235 after 2nd baby. Lost 50 lbs then gained back 65

I started to gain in my thirties, before that I was still slim, yes would gain a few lbs then lose them again easily, then in my mid thirties suddenly my metabolism just slowed so much.. I expect it was a change in my hormones. I gained around 25lb in my mid 30's I lost them on low carb and VLC twice before.. but keep regaining, this is my 3rd time round I am trying to lose the weight.

I used to exercise and lift weights. Then I got a hunting dog and spent all my time with him instead of lifting. Drank way too much and didn't eat right. 180 lbs and 18" arms turned into 250 lbs and 15.5" arms. I don't even want to guess what my max is on any major lift. Dog had to be put to sleep after 15.25 years, now I'm on a keto diet and plan to start lifting after I hit a target weight around 175.
