Talking Exercise Challenge

Hi All:

I am starting to up the intensity of my exercise program. I was wondering if anyone else was up to a weekly challenge to increase their exercsing intensity?

My thought is that each week we would post our goal for the week here where everyone could see it quickly and easily. Then at the end of the week update how well we did. Then make our next goal.

You can post your daily stuff in an exercise (oh no here comes that dreadful word) journal (Yuk Yuk Yuk Yuk Yuk)

Any takers?

Dee

Not a bad idea. I think I'll join this one. I've been walking 30 minutes about 5 times a week. I could definitely increase this to a daily thing and say 40 minutes. I've also been toying with the idea of waking up in the morning for a quick workout. I'll have to decide what my exact goals are. I'm going to the beach in July and I'd like to feel stronger and not be so tired at the end of the day...and I'm sure exercising is the key to my success in that area.

Great Idea. I'm sure as we see others successes, it will motivate us to keep up with our own goals.

Default Sounds great!

I love this idea. I've just not been able to get motivated. 2 times a week I go to Tae Kwon Do with my daughter but I just can't seem to do any thing else. Here is this weeks goal. 15 min. on the tread mill ( or should I say my folded laundry holder) I'll take the laundry off tonight and try to do it on two nights that I don't have class. Also one weekend bike ride with my daughter. I'll check in and try to keep at it!

Talking Weekly Goal

Dina...

Great goal for the week.

Mine is to put in an hour of exercise each day this week, except for Thursday....No time in the day on Thursday. Ride the bike a mile at least 3 days this week.

Default Made my mind up!

My goal this week is to do aerobics for at least 30 minutes / 3 times this week. I still plan to walk 3 times as well. I haven't done any aerobics yet since starting Mar 18th, so hopefully, this will be a good addition to my walking.

Good luck everybody!

This sounds like fun, sharing exercise goals

Goal 1: To finish the certified personal trainer programs on my treadmill (twice, total 40 minutes), although I can't go anywhere near the speed of 4 mph but I can do the incline no problem.

Goal 2: Increase my reps with small weights from 4 sets to 6 on toning my flabby arms.

I did successfully do all that Sunday and will try again today! Good luck to all who set a goal too

Lightbulb Great Idea! Somebody force me to focus!

I will try the treadmill twice daily in the morning & afternoon or evening with a goal of 15 min. each time this week & hopefully be able to do this 3 times daily next week.

Can't imagine spending 45 whole minutes on myself a day, maybe I can study while walking, ha!

Unhappy Didn't make my goal last week

I surpassed it!!!!!! I went dancing twice last week and then climbed hills all weekend.

This week is very hectic and I am just hoping to get some kind of exercise in daily....

Keep up the good work

Dee

Didn't make the tread mill yet , but I have kept my weekend bike ride with my daughter goal. Today we did 6 miles. Now if I could just get up early enough to go on the walker I'll check in tommorrow and let you know if I did or not

Hi Dina:

I am just getting back on track....

I did 30 minutes on the tread mill today, 15 minutes on the bike and 15 minutes on the weight machine.

Then I went dancing for 2 hours.... I feel great.

My goal for this week is to make it to the gym nightly for a work out.

Let me know how you did in the morning.

Dee
