Default 30 Days Sugar Free guy recommending a vegetarian diet.

Scott Olson of the Sugar Free 30 days challenge just posted an article supporting a vegetarian diet. I've tried to point him in the direction of some research and he's replied with more, but I'm over my head. Anyone care to help out?

He's actually talking about a Vegan diet which is much worst than a vegetarian diet.
Quote:
The reason why vegan diet plans work is because they eliminate the largest source of fat in your diet (milk and meat).
Nope, it's because they eliminate a very good deal of calories. Those Vegans who eat junk all day are obese and not healthy.

Quote:
You should be a non-grain vegan about 90 percent of the time. That means you eat nothing but fruits and vegetables most of the time and about 10 percent of your diet is for grains and meat products. People can follow this diet by only eating meat on the weekend, or only eating a small portion of meat or grain at dinner. You decide what works for you
Ah but this is not vegan! It's diet cycling.

This last advice is actually not bad.

Patrick

My blood sugars would be over 200, eating low carb they run below 120.

I just posted my remarks on his blog. Wonder if he will appreciate it. So funny how educated people (he's a Dr.) can be so blind and closed-minded. Still, it is his health that is at risk. I can live with that.
