I am counting 3 (1hr) dance classes as 2 hours, plus an hour workout, so 3 hours for me.

I seemed to have hurt my shoulder so I haven't been too active the past few days. Hope it heals soon.

I was pretty weak this week on doing my resistance training. I didn't make 2 full hours (less than 1, actually). I'll keep at it. I think it is going to take some time and effort to make resistance training a regular routine. Clearly, I don't enjoy it as much as walking. But everybody says that we need to do weight lifting while losing weight. My arms could use a little more meat on the bones. So I'll try and stick with it and make something happen in February.

Made my goal this week:

Sun Jan 31 - 1 hour dancing/playing/semi-jogging with dogs to Pandora dance station
Tue Feb 2 - 1 hour dancing to Pandora dance station and play w/dogs
Thu Feb 4 - 1 hour dancing to Pandora dance station and play w/dogs

total: 3 hours

Ken- at least you are doing something. I have to agree it's harder to do something you don't enjoy as much. I really need to do yoga for some stretching and muscle movement that is different...hard time getting motivated to do anything lately...not feeling as well as I usually do.

I know I did over 2 hours but the Garmin site where its all recorded is down right now so I'll report later. I did the full Daily Burn yesterday and I'm a bit sore in the inner thighs and pecs. Might just skip today's session and do some yoga instead.
Hey Kat, good to see you still getting some activity in. Do you think you'll start walking there or is there no great place to walk? I'm not sure how far you are away from Phoenix.

Hi Kelly!
I am in a 'burb of Phoenix...You know, it isn't a pretty area here. There is not much of interest to see or photograph - very uninspiring. I did find a prettier neighborhood but I have to drive a distance to it. Richer folks over there
I don't do sun if I can help it so if I don't get up early enough it's too late/blinding/hot and if I can't get out at dusk - well that's when I play with the dogs and have things to do outside before it gets dark. I need to go to bed earlier so I can get up earlier. Staying up pretty late when I'm not working. Walking is good for me but having trouble wanting to do it.

Taking a break from journaling but will be poking around still - lurking
I do want to keep up this challenge and my gym log. The hotter it gets here the harder it is for me to be motivated to do anything...
I did make my goal this week but only exercised a few days... need to do better next week. To motivate myself for walking maybe I need a book on tape. Sometimes I have trouble getting past a narrator's voice...I'll see. And the dogs can use a walk too.

Sun Feb 7 - 35 min dancing to Pandora
Mon Feb 8 - 20 min Body Holiday video episode 1: Pilates
40 min dancing to Pandora
Tue Feb 9 - 30 min walk total today - to landscaper's in neighborhood and
to and from parking at work
30 min dancing to Pandora

total: 2 hours 35 min

i am going to try to figure out this forum!!! today is day one of atkins..162.5 (two years ago lost 14 down to 154 and got norovirus which took me to 148 briefly...which would be great... but i stuck at 154 fro two years until i went hog wild at christmas... i have rotator cuff problems which took me away from my love of surfing so i need to exercise now in other ways....

mon half hour walking...tues just now 20 min abs, butt blaster until the phone rang and i gladly got off (at the office)..will do more tonight...two pounds lost in two days...now 160.5

Made my goal this week:

Tue Feb 16 - emptied out storage unit and loaded 12 ft moving truck by myself - 3 hours
Thu Feb 18 - unloaded moving truck into garage: many boxes and up and down step stool - 2 hours (and still sore...)
Sat Feb 20 - 1 hour dancing to Pandora and playing with dogs

total: 6 hours

wed half hour walking..... thurs half hour butt blaster....friday half hour walking...saturday hour walking but not too brisk..sunday 20 min abs.....i think i hit my 2 hours!!!! today monday 158.5!
