https://www.dietdoctor.com/diet-doc...allison-gannett

Allison beat brain cancer, and then became a lifestyle coach, and diet coach to help others

Very informative: Pay now or pay later. BUt with the lower food intake on TRE of 4-5 hours, and eating small portion of meats, at one deck of cards, the grassfed-grass finished meats are affordable, and food bill decreases.

Glutamates can feed cancer cells, and gluconeogenisis converts proteins, so find the balance via labs and DNA to see the effects.

Cancers create a microenvironments and includes high iron environment around itself, and high calcium, high growth factors " cancer cells decorate the room to be as happy as it can be".

Each person is VERY individual. From genetics to stress, to exercise, etc.

Evidence based treatment is different based on where the risk is for each patient. Worth the risk for non-evidence based treatment if at stage 4, for example.

Studies done with canola oil is problematic. MUST dig into th study to see the details.

Uses anecdotal info from her experience and her patients. Reversed hashimoto, breast fibrosis, PCOS, yeast infections, seasonal allergies gone, arthritis gone, epstien -bar gone, etc etc etc.

Treat the person and the environment of the cancer to treat it.

I thought I posted Part 1 of this new talk on Keto and Cancer, but where? Anyway...here's another Keto Radiation Oncologist, in the Chicago area.

https://www.chicagocancer.org/meet-...m-kesslering-md

She has a support group meeting second Weds. for her patients and family, others could join in her Warrenville office.

Her talk at the Chicago Adapt event was 45 mintues total, in 2 parts. If someone is new to the idea of Cancer and Sugar (Diet) having an impact...this is a great talk! Basic but jam packed with info.

"Think that just because someone is skinny they're healthy? Think again! Research is actually showing that there are an alarmingly low number of adults achieving optimal metabolic health. This means that most people have an increased risk of serious disease.

Watch this video as Dr. Christy Kesslering talks specifically about cancer and the effect diet has on mortality rates."

It leans more in the way of her speciality of breast cancer (like Dr. Champ whose studies she uses) but there is enough evidence for diet impact on any cancer. And to cut straight to the diet advice at the end...she starts everyone at 20 grams carbs a day.

Thank you Janet!!

It is refreshing to learn of viable options to cope with cancers.

One practitioner mentions that cancer cells are a regular occurance. Well, actually, this theory has popped up a few times. Which means we need to be constantly vigilant.

One doctor, new to me so name is elusive, has been credited with recommending a 7 day fast once a year. My first thought is : could it be so simple?? Then I laugh, because just managing one day of fasting is a struggle. But then sticking to 20 g per day is also a struggle!!!

Carbohydrates own me. Its a constant fight. While I have stepped up the fight, Im loosing the war.

No wonder pills are the "solution" to most issues, but not the cure except for a few situations like antibiotics. So far no pills have fixed what is a food issue.

I can imagine a one week vacation at a resort where everyone is fasting for the week. Without the cost of food, I imagine it an affordable week. Just the cost of drinks like tea, coffee, soda, and broth.

Ahhhh, one can dream.

A new "short-take" from Mark Sisson. If I meet someone interested in cancer and diet, but not willing to read more than one simple article, this might be a good one.

It's so touchy when they are in that condition.
There was a lady on here last year and she was very nice but when she mentioned her sister had just been diagnosed I responded with the suggestion of her trying the Keto diet. Her reaction to my comment was so shocking I didn't even know how to respond to her. Said she found my comment to be offensive.

Sorry to hear that Meme. You had good info to share. It was the othet
r person not ready to hear. The dreaded C word had taken control.

mMe, Im a sponge. Cancer is not a word that scares me anymore. I do remember ten years ago crying buckets after the phone call from my mother rshe had melanoma. And two bouts of breast cancer later, fear has no place anymore. Unfortunately fear is the base everyone one seems to work from . It gives the cancer the winning edge.

Keto and Cancer: Where Do We Stand?

Was not aware that ketones can fuel specific cancers. Only aware of glucose as a fuel--and it is for breast and colon cancers.

Makes me think: fasting targets both.

Explains mild stress and how it works, the many faces of mild stress, and the opposite of chronic stress.

Jackpot. Keto is one facet to fight cancer. Dr Axe outlines and then filks in the details for cancer treatments and prevention.

My own oncologist from DF had nothing to offer me.....

If you are going to wander into the Chiropractor/Naturopathic arena, also a new interview with Dr Nasha Winter. https://www.dietdoctor.com/diet-doc...r-nasha-winters This one covered more of the diet with Standard of Care than previous interviews with her that spent too much time on mistletoe, herbs, dozens of obscure blood tests.

Wow. This woman is spectacular. Lots of great info in that 45 minutes covering her own history that led to ovarian cancer at 19, and her journey jnto oncology......

Led me to this interview.
https://healingjourneys.org/does-di...-nasha-winters/

Also, on her website is a list of 5 things to do if diagnosed..... to be emailed. Why not just list them...
